My favorite song of all-time is Int'l Players Anthem by UGK feat. Outkast. I love how each of the four verses by Andre 3000, Pimp C, Bun B, and Big Boi stand alone individually, yet join forces to create a true masterpiece.

With a 15-game MLB slate today, I hope to tap into the creative genius used to create Int'l Players Anthem and craft my own work of art. Each pick of a parlay can be its own bet, but you get something beautiful when you combine them together.

After all, top notch plays get the most, not the lesser. Using odds from WynnBET Sportsbook, here are my favorite MLB parlay picks of the day:

Best MLB Parlay Picks Today

Orioles (+135) vs Blue Jays

Andre 3000's verse is my favorite in the song, so I might as well give my favorite pick at the top.

Never mind that the Baltimore Orioles are 13-6 in their last 19 games as home underdogs or that the Toronto Blue Jays lost four of their last five as road favorites, because the best reason to pick Baltimore today is that Jose Berrios is pitching on the road.

I've always liked hotel beds - those blankets and pillows are so comfy. But Berrios must hate them, because he's an unmitigated disaster away from home. The Blue Jays are 1-3 in his last four road outings, and his MLB Statcast Pitching Profile illustrates how bad he's been this year:

Dean Kremer is no ace, but he's much better than Berrios and the Orioles won four of his last five home starts. With a starting pitching advantage, a hot lineup, and a significant bullpen advantage, Baltimore is in great shape to win it's fifth straight as a home underdog.

Marlins First Five Innings (+113) vs Phillies

The Miami Marlins are 6-1 in Sandy Alcantara's last seven road starts, and I'm thrilled to back the NL's best pitcher as an underdog against Noah Syndergaard and the Philadelphia Phillies.

Alcantara is an absolute monster, throwing at least seven innings in 14 of his last 16 starts. The Phillies' lineup is rolling, but Sandy is the man to slow it down.

Syndergaard, meanwhile, allowed 11 hits and four runs through only five innings in his Philadelphia debut. Over his last nine starts, his team is 2-7.

With a 28th-percentile ranking in expected batting average, Syndergaard can be beat. At plus odds, I'll take Sandy all day long.

Braves (-136) vs Red Sox

I'll keep fading the Boston Red Sox at every chance I get. They're 7-18 in their last 25 games and 2-6 in their last eight as home underdogs.

To make matters worse, today's starter Nick Pivetta has been a nightmare of late. In his last five starts, Pivetta has a FIP (Fielding Independent Pitching) above 7.91 three times, including two above 9.34. Marco Gonzales has the worst FIP among qualified pitchers with a 5.11, so Pivetta is frequently nearly twice as bad as MLB's worst pitcher.

I expect Atlanta's lineup to mash today, and Kyle Wright should hold up enough to give the Braves a win. Wright has a quality start in four of his last five outings and Atlanta is 7-1 in his last eight.

Trust the Braves to take advantage of Pivetta's struggles and hand Boston another loss.

Astros -1.5 (-140) vs Rangers

The Texas Rangers have eight straight losses behind Glenn Otto, whose 5.63 expected ERA would be the worst in MLB if he had enough innings to qualify. He's given up at least one home run in four straight starts and takes on an Astros team that's 17-6 in its last 23 as home favorites.

Oh yeah, there's also this guy. Justin Verlander has seven straight wins against the Rangers and the Astros are 15-2 in his last 17 starts. 12 of those wins came by multiple runs, and Verlander allowed one run or fewer in seven consecutive outings.

Otto is bad. Verlander is good. Sometimes, it's just that simple.

MLB Parlay for August 10, 2022

The "Keep Your Heart, Three Stacks" Parlay (+1389)

  • Orioles (+135) vs Blue Jays
  • Marlins (+113) vs Phillies
  • Braves (-136)
  • Astros -1.5 (-140) vs Rangers

I don't have any child support to pay like Big Boi mentions in Int'l Players Anthem, but I'd certainly have enough money to after this whopping parlay!

We're getting tremendous value on huge pitching advantages in each matchup, though I highly recommend you check out the BetSided previews to help form your own parlay over at WynnBET.

Whichever route you choose, best of luck. Let's get after it!
