Best MLB Parlay Picks Today (Pitching Mismatches Rule the Day)
By Matt De Saro
It’s a busy 11-game all day slate on Thursday in MLB for us sports bettors to enjoy.
After a morning of pouring over games, I found a few that fit nicely into a three-game parlay to reach for some extra value.
No big favorites here, as all of these legs are either short favorites or outright underdogs.
Let's get started, with all odds courtesy of WynnBET Sportsbook.
Best MLB Parlay Picks for Thursday, May 26
- New York Yankees ML vs. Rays (-125)
- Colorado Rockies ML vs Nationals (+103)
- Rangers vs. Athletics UNDER 6.5 (+110)
A $25 wager would win $166.84 if it hits!
New York Yankees ML vs. Rays (-125)
This clash of AL East rivals sees the first-place Yankees invade Tropicana Field to take on the Tampa Bay Rays.
The big reason the Yankees are in a great spot to win this game is Nestor Cortes. The 27-year-old lefty is 3-1 with a 1.80 ERA and 0.89 WHIP. He is making a strong push into consideration for some end-of-the-year awards and a spot on the All-Star team through his first eight starts. He’s not been blown up in any game and his worst start was a three-run game against the White Sox, which the Yankees still won.
The Bombers are 6-2 straight up (SU) in games he starts and I see that trend continuing tonight.
Colorado Rockies ML vs Nationals (+103)
The Rockies hit the road tonight to kick off a four-game series against the Washington Nationals. Both teams are having terrible years and have almost played themselves out of contention.
This is more of a lesser of two evils bet, and the biggest evil in this game is Nats’ starter, Patrick Corbin. He has been the definition of ineffective with a 0-7 record, 6.60 ERA, and 1.69 WHIP in 43 ⅔ innings. Why he is still on the active roster is a mystery to me, but it gives us a nice shot to cash an underdog bet with Colorado.
Rangers vs. Athletics UNDER 6.5 (+110)
Frankie Montas and Martin Perez have the luxury of facing off against two awful offenses tonight. The Oakland Athletics rank 26th in runs scored with 157 in 43 games while the Rangers rank 22nd at 171.
Perez has been very good this year in an unexpected twist. Montas is playing fine as well, and both of their successes should be enough to keep the lackluster bats on the other side at bay.
Bet the under in this possible pitching clinic.
