We have a chance for a few closeouts today and the way these series are going, I think I like a few of these series to end today. The teams in control are playing well, two of them are at home, and if conspiracy Josh could have a word he would say that the MLB doesn’t want two NLDS Game 5’s going up against NFL Sunday.

So, I’ve cooked up the “Saturday Clinchers Parlay” for you.

Best MLB Parlay Picks Today

  • Braves vs. Phillies (+115)
  • Astros (-110) vs. Mariners
  • Dodgers vs. Padres +1.5 (-169)

Braves vs. Phillies (+115)

The Phillies offense has been humming in this series and their 9-1 win yesterday might have been the end for Atlanta. The Braves send Charlie Morton to the mound, something they maybe should have done yesterday, but he isn’t the same pitcher he was a few years ago. Morton has a very real postseason track record, but this year he has an expected ERA of 4.11 and an expected slugging in the 43rd percentile of the league.

Noah Syndergaard is going for Philly, but it looks like he will be more of a glorified opener and Bailey Falter might get extended work out of the bullpen. The Braves offense has a .604 OPS in the postseason and I think their struggles continue today.

Astros (-110) vs. Mariners

The Astros are a juggernaut and with the Dodgers on the ropes in the NLDS, Houston is the new favorite to win the World Series. They are such an experienced team and their third starter is Lance McCullers Jr. who has closed out a World Series title in the past.

He will not be scared of the moment, but the rookie George Kirby for Seattle, might have some nerves. I like Houston to rain on the Mariners postseason parade. It’s okay though it’s Seattle they’re used to rain.

Dodgers vs. Padres +1.5 (-169)

Yeah I chickened out. I really wanted to take all of these teams on the moneyline, but the Dodgers are a really good team.

They’ll send Tyler Anderson to the mound and he’s been fantastic all season. I think this will be a low-scoring game that Joe Musgrove and San Diego will keep close, but I’m not certain that they will clinch a trip to the NLCS in four games against the 111-win Dodgers.
