Let’s celebrate the Fourth of July in style with a trio of winning picks to parlay this afternoon.  There are several pitching mismatches to use as legs in this parlay. Let's get started, with all odds courtesy of WynnBET Sportsbook.

Best MLB Parlay Picks for Monday, July 4

  • Mets ML vs. Reds (-153)
  • Giants ML vs. Diamondbacks (-175)
  • Cubs ML vs. Brewers (+128)

A $25 wager would win $123.11 if it hits!

Mets ML vs. Reds (-153)

I will admit that the Reds look a lot better than the team that started the season 3-22 overall. But, that doesn't mean their issues are sorted or that the Reds are suddenly a good bet. Today they will be outmatched top to bottom by the best team in the NL East. The Mets have a much superior offense and their starter, Taijuan Walker, has been on an absolute tear this season. Walker enters at 6-2 with a 2.72 ERA and 1.17 WHIP and is coming off a seven-inning shutout of the Houston Astros. The Reds, and starter Hunter Greene, are in over their heads.

Giants ML vs. Diamondbacks (-175)

The San Francisco Giants are not playing their best baseball right now as they head into this three-game series in Arizona. The Giants are coming off an embarrassing sweep at the hands of the White Sox and are hoping that Carlos Rodon can get them back on track here. Rodon has two things going for him here. The first is his stats over the last six starts. Since the start of June, Rodon has a 1.25 ERA with just one home run allowed in his last 36 innings pitched.

The other advantage Rodon has tonight's he will be going head-to-head against Madison Bumgarner. There was a time when Bumgarner was considered one of the best pitchers in baseball. But, at 32 years old, it appears Madbum’s dominance is over as he has a 4.06 ERA in his last six starts. The Giants also have a fantastic batting average of .261 against Bumgarner.

Cubs ML vs. Brewers (+128)

The final game of our three-game parlay pits Eric Lauer of the Brewers and Justin Steele of the Cubs against each other in what could be a sneaky good pitching duel. Steele has a rough 4.39 ERA and 1.48 WHIP this year while Lauer sports a 4.02 ERA with a 1.23 WHIP. Lauer is having a better year overall, but has struggled over the last few weeks. Lauer’s ERA in his last five starts is up to 6.83 after getting torched by teams like the Reds and Nationals. He also has a rough .256 batting average against this current Cubs lineup.

At 3-5, Steele is having his own share of issues. However, he’s been better over his last five starts. Steele allowed two or fewer runs in four of his last five games and I think he can keep dealing against a struggling Milwaukee team.
