Thanks to some rain in the Bronx last night, we have three MLB playoff games today and what a treat that is. It’s a beautiful October Friday, and we have some fantastic playoff baseball to gamble on. That means it’s parlay time, cause you can’t just bet on one of the games, we’re going to be watching all night, so let’s parlay these together and win big.

We have seen a few abberations this postseason, which happens in a small sample, but we are trusting 162 games of data for this parlay today. We know the Guardians can't hit lefties, Spencer Strider is a stud, and Blake Snell falls apart the second time through the order. So, let's use that to our advantage and put together a very scientific parlay today.

Best MLB Parlay Picks Today

  • Yankees ML vs. Guardians
  • Braves vs. Phillies Under 6.5 Runs
  • Dodgers ML vs. Padres

Yankees ML vs. Guardians

I love the Yankees today for the same reason that I loved them yesterday before the rain moved into the Bronx. Nestor Cortes Jr. is heading to the mound and the Guardians have struggled to hit left-handed pitching all year. I know that Shane Bieber is on the other side and that does scare me some, but I’ve watched the Guardians struggle to produce runs all postseason and this Yankees lineup is a lot scarier than the Tampa lineup that Bieber had so much success against.

Braves vs. Phillies Under 6.5 Runs

It’s Spencer Strider day and that is so exciting. Strider was electric in the regular season and I fully expect the stuff to play the same in October. Strider was 99th percentile in strikeout rate and 95th in whiff rate. He knows how to miss bats. After Kyle Wright was able to blank the Phillies in Game 2, I like Strider to do the same even if he has a shorter leash coming off his injury.

Also, Aaron Nola is on the mound for Philly and he had a 3.35 ERA against the Braves in five starts this season with 41 strikeouts in 34.0 innings. He threw 6.2 shutout innings against St. Louis in the Wild Card round and is pitching on five days rest.

Dodgers ML vs. Padres

Yes, I know that San Diego stole a win in LA, but the Dodgers have dominated this season series. In the regular season the Dodgers went 14-5 against the Padres as part of their 111-win season. They are the best team in baseball and the best team in baseball doesn't lose two games in a row very often.

Blake Snell has been pitching better lately and I am on this game for NRFI and under for the first five innings, but my hedge against that is the Dodgers moneyline. Remember when Kevin Cash had a quick hook with Snell against the Dodgers in 2020, well Bob Melvin probably won’t. That will be an issue, because Snell has a 1.88 ERA in the first three innings this year, but a 6.35 and 6.27 in the fourth and fifth. The second time the Dodgers lineup gets a look a Snell, they will do damage.
