Best MLB Parlay Picks Today (Two Favorites and Two Totals Craft a Sunday Special)
By Joe Summers
Happy Sunday and cheers to you for making it through the weekend! I hope it's been a pleasant couple of days, and it's about to get a lot more bountiful.
We've got a loaded MLB slate today and I've poured over the data. I'm pleased to report I've got a slam-dunk of a parlay, sure to send you into the work week with fresh threads and a fat wad of cash in your pocket.
The team here at BetSided has you covered with previews for every game, but I've compiled my favorite parlay picks, destined to join forces in an Avengers-like super squad of wagers. Using the odds from WynnBET Sportsbook, let's get into it:
Best MLB Parlay Picks Today
Brewers -1.5 (-125) vs Nationals
I got into this pick in detail in my game preview, but the calculus is simple: Nationals' starter Aaron Sanchez is bad and Brewers' starter Freddy Peralta is good. Sanchez has an 8.78 ERA this month while Peralta has a 1.60 ERA over his last five starts.
Milwaukee is 13-3 in their previous 16 as a home favorite, with 10 of those wins coming on the run line. Washington is 2-8 in their last 10 as a road underdog, with seven of those losses coming on the run line. Both of those trends continue today in a lopsided pitching matchup as the Brewers finish the sweep.
Rays (-158) vs Orioles
The Rays have won a ridiculous 16 of 17 against Baltimore and are well-positioned to extend their dominance today. Orioles' starter Spenser Watkins has been terrible in May, amassing an 8.76 ERA and failing to make it through the fifth inning in any of his three starts. He's in the fourth percentile in expected ERA and eighth in expected batting average while struggling with command.
Tampa Bay starter Corey Kluber has a quality start in three of his last four appearances and a career 2.94 ERA against the Orioles. He threw 4.2 scoreless innings against them in his first appearance of the season and I expect more of the same.
Tigers vs Guardians Under 7.0 (-105)
Both of these teams have been under machines of late as each lineup is struggling. The under is 12-2-2 in Detroit's last 16 games and 4-1 in Cleveland's last five. We should see more of the same in a strong pitching matchup.
Alex Faedo has a 2.87 ERA through three starts and has yet to allow more than two runs, while Shane Bieber has thrown a quality start in three of his last four outings. Until these offenses can prove they're capable of, you know, actually scoring runs, I'm happy to keep backing the under.
Braves vs Marlins Under 7.5 (-125)
This is a fantastic starting pitching matchup as Ian Anderson takes on Sandy Alcantara. In Anderson's last six starts, he has a 2.72 ERA over 33 innings and hasn't allowed more than three runs a single time. Alcantara, meanwhile, has a 2.49 ERA on the year and has surrendered just two runs and five hits in his last 15 innings.
Both offenses can be dangerous, but there's a lot of wind projected today and with two excellent pitchers, I expect a low-scoring affair.
