There is nothing worse than a case of the “Sunday Scaries,” except maybe when you get home from a week-long vacation and have to drive back to school for your first week of your senior year of college “Sunday Scaries.”

However, this Sunday is special, this Sunday is actually Sunderday.

Here in Pittsburgh the temperature is cooling off, well under the usual August high, and the offenses in MLB are going to cool off too. The best cure for the “Sunderday Scaries” is hitting a nice parlay to end my summer off right.

As always we get our odds from our friends at WynnBET for this MLB Parlay.

Best MLB Parlay Picks Today

Guardians vs. Blue Jays Under 7.0 (+100)

Shane Bieber and Kevin Gausman on the mound on a Sunday afternoon? Yes Please.

Bieber was excellent last time out and has dropped his ERA to 3.21, but his FIP is a sparkling 2.87. Not to mention the Blue Jays offense doesn’t exactly have the same life in a day game as they do at night. Their OPS drops from .782 with the sundown to .727 in a day game. The Cleveland offense also takes a slight dip in the day.

Kevin Gausman will be the bigger reason that the Guardians offense struggles today. Gausman has not allowed a run in August and his ERA is now down to 2.91. Speaking of a sparkling FIP, take a look at Gausman 1.98 Fielding Independent Pitching.

This is the first of the pitcher’s duels on Sunday and it’ll be a good one.

Phillies vs. Mets Under 7.0 (+100)

This is another low total and it is for very good reason. Zack Wheeler and Chris Bassitt take the mound in New York and it’ll be another frustrating night for hitters in this series. Last night was an Aaron Nola, Jacob deGrom pitcher’s duel that the Mets took 1-0 and tonight may night be as much of an enticing pitching matchup, but it is a heck of an undercard.

Zack Wheeler torments his former team and Chris Bassit has really come on in August.

Yankees vs. Red Sox Under 9.5 (+100)

This game has less to do with the pitching matchup, though it is a good one, and more to do with the awful state of both of these teams. The Yankees are 2-8 in their last 10 games and in their last four they have scored a total of eight runs.

Boston has been a tiny bit better, with a 3-7 record in their last 10 games and a bit more life to their offense, but are still a sub-.500 baseball team.

Michael Wacha is coming off of the 15-day IL to make the start tonight and is 6-1 with a 2.69 ERA in 2022.
