I’ve spent this week down at the beach. The beautiful Isle of Palms in South Carolina. And in a way, a great beach vacation is a lot like a parlay. You have all of these different things that come together to make the perfect week. You have family and friends that all have to get along, the sun and the ocean and the sand and the weather all creating paradise, and most importantly you have the beer in your hand to sweeten the odds a little bit.

If one of those things doesn’t work then the whole vacation falls apart. If your friends and family argue, if it won’t stop raining, or if you run out of drinks then it all comes crashing down. So far, it’s been the perfect week and we’re going to have the perfect parlay today. This is the “vacation parlay” and you can find odds for it at WynnBET Sportsbook

Best MLB Parlay Picks Today

White Sox vs. Royals Under 7.5 (-105)

Dylan Cease is unbelievable for the White Sox, he has not allowed more than one earned run in his last 13 starts. He is going to continue to absolutely roll against the terrible offense of the Kansas City Royals. The more important piece of this is Zack Greinke, who is on the mound for the Royals. Greinke’s numbers have been bad this year, but that is all because of how awful he’s been away from home.

In KC, Greinke is 3-2 with a 2.23 ERA. He has allowed 35 earned runs in 44.0 innings on the road compared to 12 earned runs in 48.1 innings at home. He also has only given up one home run all season at Kauffman Stadium.

Pirates vs. Diamondbacks (-165)

Merrill Kelly has been almost as good as Dylan Cease over the past month. Since July 1, Kelly has only allowed eight earned runs in seven starts, dropping his ERA from 3.46 to 2.86. The Diamondbacks are only 4-3 in those games, but that is because of a lack of run support. That shouldn’t be a problem against JT Brubaker who has struggled for the Pirates. His last two starts, he has gone 4.1 and 4.0 innings in his last two. The Pirates have also lost his last five starts.

A surging Kelly and a struggling Brubaker make the next piece of the “vacation parlay.”

Cubs vs. Reds Over 9.0 (-120)

This pick is based around a conspiracy theory, but I am 1-0 on my conspiracy theory bets this season. We know that MLB messed up when they scheduled the Cubs and Reds to play in their Field of Dreams game, but we also know that they will try to make up for that mistake.

This is Rob Manfred’s shot at establishing an event like the winter classic in hockey, and to do that you have to have entertaining games. Last year was incredible and a 2-1 Cubs victory to take them to 46-65 will just not cut it as an encore. We are going to see some juiced baseballs fly into that cornfield tonight.

MLB Parlay for August 11, 2022

The “Vacation Parlay” (+475)

  • White Sox vs. Royals Under 7.5 (-105)
  • Pirates vs. Diamondbacks (-165)

So there we have it. The perfect vacation, a great pitching matchup, a favorite with an ace on the mound, and a conspiracy theory twist to close out the night.
