Best MLB Prop Bets Record to Date

  • MLB Best Prop Bets Record: 10-11-0

Here are the plays our squad has their eyes on with all odds coming from WynnBET:

Best MLB Prop Bets Today

  • Frankie Montas OVER 6.5 Strikeouts (-155)
  • Kyle Hendricks UNDER 4.5 Strikeouts (-135)
  • Shane McClanahan OVER 6.5 Ks (+105)
  • Clayton Kershaw UNDER 7.5 Ks (-160)

Frankie Montas OVER 6.5 Strikeouts (-155)

There’s a lot of juice on this prop for Frankie Montas, but for good reason, as the Baltimore Orioles strikeout more than anyone else in baseball, averaging 11.11 punch outs per game.

Montas has recorded six strikeouts in each of his first two starts this year, and he’s one of the more prolific strikeout artists in the league, punching out over 10 batters per nine innings in the 2020 and 2021 seasons.

I think he has a field day against Baltimore, especially since the O’s struck out 12 times in five innings to New York Yankees starter Nestor Cortes on Sunday. -- Peter Dewey

Kyle Hendricks UNDER 4.5 Strikeouts (-135)

I don't trust Hendricks to strikeout anyone anymore, and now he deals with a disciplined Rays lineup that is great at generating contact this season.

It's a pricey number, but I'm going to bank on some regression after the Cubs right hander punched out more than a batter per inning through 2 starts. Hendricks went under this total in 20 of 32 starts last season, I'll bank on him to find his poor form once again. -- Reed Wallach

Shane McClanahan OVER 6.5 Ks (+105)

I know the wind is going to blowing out of the stadium, as Reed Wallach pointed out in his betting preview, but I still gotta back my guy Shane McClanahan one way or another.

McClanahan's strikeout rate is increased quite a bit so far this season, and while it's only a small sample size, it could be a good strategy to jump on it now before books adjust. He recorded seven strikeouts in only 4.1 innings against the Orioles, and then eight strikeouts in just 4.2 innings against the A's.

I'll back him to surpass this total once again at plus-money. -- Iain MacMillan

Clayton Kershaw UNDER 7.5 Ks (-160)

Kershaw's number is inflated over at WynnBET tonight after his first start. He struck out 13 Twins in seven perfect innings while only throwing 80 pitches.

The Braves' lineup, while inconsistent, remains a much tougher task.

Atlanta, despite their 5-5 record has squared up the ball very well; ranking second in the National League in hard-hit percentage

Atlanta also ranks 13th in baseball in strikeout percentage at 23.7%. There's some swing-and-miss, but that's a very high number to climb.

7.5 strikeouts for Kershaw mid-season when he's throwing nearly triple digit pitch counts is a lot easier to get behind. I can't back it tonight, however. -- Ben Heisler
