Thanks to Reed Wallach taking the UNDER on Mike Clevinger’s prop, last night wasn’t a complete loss. We went 1-1, missing on Nick Lodolo’s UNDER 5.5 strikeouts prop. Today will be different though. Ben Heisler and Peter Dewey have made their returns to the squad, so we have tons of props ready for you today. The whole team is looking at the mound for successful days from pitchers.

Let’s get right to it, with odds coming from consensus lines.

Best MLB Prop Bets Today

  • Luis Severino OVER 6.5 Strikeouts (-105)
  • Josiah Gray OVER 15.5 Outs Recorded (-120)
  • Shohei Ohtani OVER 7.5 Strikeouts (+110)
  • Joe Ryan OVER 4.5 Strikeouts (-124)

Luis Severino OVER 6.5 Strikeouts (-105)

Severino has cleared this line in four of his last five starts, coming up short in his last start against the Houston Astros. He’s normally above this line and I think it’s being discounted because of his poor start against Houston.

Severino is going to go at least five innings and will likely go further than that. If he can stay on the mound, he’ll clear this line against the team with the second-worst strikeout rate in the league. – Donnavan Smoot

Josiah Gray OVER 15.5 Outs Recorded (-120)

Washington Nationals starter Josiah Gray is coming off a rough outing against the Miami Marlins his last time out, but I think he’s due to bounce back a bit against the Philadelphia Phillies.

I’m betting on Gray lasting into the sixth inning in this one, something he has done in eight of his last 11 starts, including his outing against the Marlins when he gave up six earned on 10 hits in 5.2 innings.

Gray has made 15 starts on the season, clearing this number in 10 of them, and he’s actually been solid since the start of June, posting a 2.73 ERA over five starts.

I think he holds Philly in check enough to work through at least 5.1. – Peter Dewey

Shohei Ohtani OVER 7.5 Strikeouts (+110)

Welcome to the Sho-Show. Ohtani is going to end up winning MVP, and it's for good reason. He is actually pitching better than he was last season, striking out everybody in his way. He is punching out more than 12 batters per 9 innings. Lately, it's been a master class every time out for Ohtani, striking out 13 and 11 batters in his past two starts. He now faces a Marlins team that struggles at the plate and will be out matched form the jump. At + money, I'm all over this. – Reed Wallach

Joe Ryan OVER 4.5 Strikeouts (-124)

The Twins' right-hander comes off his best start of the season, firing seven innings of two-hit ball and seven strikeouts at home against the Orioles.

With his last outing, Ryan became the fastest pitcher in Minnesota's history to 90 strikeouts in just 17 career games.

He faces the struggling White Sox tonight as they continue to drop further out of the standings behind the Twins, and have lost two consecutive games. Chicago doesn't strike out a ton, but they're bottom 10 in Weighted Runs Above Average and have struggled to find success at the plate all season long.

The 26-year old has hit this prop in four of his last six, and I expect it to be five of seven later today. Ben Heisler
