It's a nine-game slate in the Big Leagues this Monday, with several noteworthy pitching matchups and sluggers available for lots of props on the board.

After going 1-1 on Sunday, we've got three plays on the board, including two out in St. Petersburg for Yankees vs. Rays, while the other highlights the late game out in San Diego between the Padres and Diamondbacks.

Here are the props our team is targeting for Monday's MLB slate with odds coming from WynnBET and consensus lines.

Best MLB Prop Bets Today

  • Shane McClanahan OVER 17.5 Outs Recorded (-140)
  • Ji-Man Choi OVER 0.5 Total Bases (-120)
  • Yu Darvish OVER 6.5 Strikeouts (+110) - available at WynnBET

Shane McClanahan OVER 17.5 Outs Recorded (-140) - Tampa Bay Rays vs. New York Yankees

This is a pretty simple pick for me, as Shane McClanahan has been one of the best pitchers in baseball this season.

The Yankees, his opponent on Monday, have one of the better offenses in baseball, but McClanahan has lasted six innings in each of his last two starts against them. In addition to that, the Rays ace has thrown at least six innings (clearing this prop) in seven consecutive starts.

I’m not going to let New York’s offense scare me away from backing an elite starter tonight. -- Peter Dewey

Ji-Man Choi OVER 0.5 Total Bases (-125) - Tampa Bay Rays vs. New York Yankees

The last time Choi faced off against Gerrit Cole, I took him as my "Daily Dinger" pick at +390 odds to leave the yard against the Yankees ace. After all, he's destroyed him throughout his career with a .929 slugging percentage and four home runs in 28 at bats.

Cole ended up getting the best of Choi, but -120 for Choi to simply get on base once? Sign me up!

Choi over his career has an on-base percentage of .514 against Cole, which indicates that he's gotten on the base paths 51.4% of his at-bats. He's got 111 hits, seven of them going for extra bases, while walking 11 times in 35 plate appearances.

Cole has been a tough out for most this year, but considering his struggles on the road in 2022, I love Choi to bounce back at home. -- Ben Heisler

Yu Darvish OVER 6.5 Strikeouts (+110) - San Diego Padres vs. Arizona Diamondbacks

Darvish has flirted with this seven strikeout mark a ton, but I like him to put together a big outing againt the Diamondbacks that are just outside the top 10 in strikeout rate this month.

Darvish has seen his strikeout rate dwindle from above 10 to about 7 per 9 innings this season, but he is going longer into games, at least six innings in six of his last seven starts.

With more opportunities, I think this is a great + money price to grab Darvish to put together a comprehensive start. -- Reed Wallach
