  • New York Mets Team Total OVER 3.5 Runs (-150)
  • Cal Quantrill OVER 4.5 Strikeouts (+115)
  • Braxton Garrett Over 4.5 Strikeouts (-117)
  • Austin Riley OVER 1.5 Total Bases (-105)

Kevin Gausman OVER 5.5 Strikeouts (-165)

Gausman has been great all season and I think he has another good performance tonight. He’s hit the OVER on this line in four of his last five starts – even getting up to double digits twice. Although the Cardinals are a tough team to get swinging and missing, Gausman has my trust. He struck out eight batters in his first time out against the Cardinals, and I’m expecting a similar performance tonight. – Donnavan Smoot

New York Mets Team Total OVER 3.5 Runs (-150)

The New York Mets took Game 1 of the Subway Series on Tuesday with a 6-3 victory, and I think they’re in line to jump on New York Yankees starter Domingo German, who allowed five earned runs and two homers in his first start of the season against the Houston Astros.

I have zero confidence in German holding down a Mets lineup that is top 10 in the league against right-handed pitching this season.

That, and the Yankees’ banged up bullpen should help the Mets hit the OVER, especially after the Yankees used several arms in yesterday’s loss. – Peter Dewey

Cal Quantrill OVER 4.5 Strikeouts (+115)

It's no secret that the Boston Red Sox have been struggling this month, but one of the biggest reasons for their woes is their strikeout rate. They've struck out on 27.1% of their plate appearances in July, which is the third highest rate in Major League Baseball. Cal Quantrill has reached at least four strikeouts six of his last eight starts, including once against these very same Red Sox back on June 24th. I'll back OVER 4.5 strikeouts tonight. – Iain MacMillan

It's getting scary for the Red Sox, who are now under .500 and are quickly falling out of the AL Wild Card race ahead of the trade deadline. Since coming back from the All-Star break, the Red Sox are striking out on 30% of their at bats, setting up sturdy Guardians starter for a strong outing. Quantrill averages only 3.7 strikeouts per start this season, but at + money I like him in this spot. – Reed Wallach

Braxton Garrett OVER 4.5 Strikeouts (-117)

This line is way too low against a Reds team that averages the third-most strikeouts per game at home in MLB. Garrett has a whopping 18 strikeouts over his last two starts as he's getting comfortable with his starting role.

Pablo Lopez just struck out 11 batters against Cincy yesterday, and Trevor Rogers notched five in only 3.2 innings of work the day before that. The Reds' lineup is sputtering, while Garrett is surging, having thrown at least six innings in three of his last four starts.

His most commonly-thrown pitch, his slider, has a whiff rate over 40%. Expect Garrett to mow down Reds' batters in another excellent performance to easily clear this prop. – Joe Summers

Austin Riley OVER 1.5 Total Bases (-105) - DraftKings Sportsbook

Riley's on an absolute tear right now for the Braves; hitting .444 during his current 18-game hitting streak.

Of his 32 hits, 17 have gone for extra base hits with nine doubles and eight home runs.

It's also a great day to be a hitter at Citizens Bank Park today, evidenced by BallParkPal's Park Factor report below.

Phillies starter Kyle Gibson also comes off a brutal game post-All Star break against the Cubs, and while it's a small sample, but Riley is 2-4 lifetime vs. Gibson with a home run.

If you want to have a little fun, consider sprinkling a little on Riley's OVER 0.5 doubles at +370 too. – Ben Heisler
