Between MLB Parlays and NRFI bets, we are covering Friday’s slate from all angles. The next logical spot to cover are prop bets for tonight’s action.  Let’s take a look at some prop odds for Friday night and end the week in the black. All odds used are courtesy of WynnBET Sportsbook.

3 Best MLB Prop Bets for Friday

  • Pablo Lopez OVER 5.5 Strikeouts (+110)
  • Joe Musgrove OVER 5.5 Strikeouts (-145)
  • Jose Ramirez OVER 0.5 Home Runs (+485)

Pablo Lopez OVER 5.5 Strikeouts (+110)

Pablo Lopez looks like one of the best pitchers in the league right now at 4-2 with a 2.18 ERA and 0.97 WHIP. And while he’s known as a guy with impeccable control, he’s also a competent strikeout pitcher when he reaches back for a little extra sauce on his pitches. Lopez has gone over this total in two of his last three starts and six of his last nine. The Astros don’t strike out a ton but Lopez is locked in right now and I don’t think a good eye by Houston will be enough to keep him under six tonight.

Joe Musgrove OVER 5.5 Strikeouts (-145)

As I mentioned earlier in a separate article, Musgrove is one of the best pitchers on the planet right now. He is 6-0 with a 1.64 ERA and 0.92 WHIP in 66 innings. But, we're focusing only on strikeout here and Musgrove doesn’t disappoint in that area either. With 64 total strikeouts this year, Musgrove is not elite, but still ranks in the top 30. But, you don’t have to be elite to strike out six guys in a single game. Musgrove has gone over this total in two straight games and five of his last six.

Jose Ramirez OVER 0.5 Home Runs (+485)

Ramirez has cooled off a bit in the power department, but he’s still the best the Guardians have to offer in terms of raw power. In more positive news, Ramirez went yard last night against the Athletics for the second time this month. I usually don’t bet on guys going off on back-to-back nights, but I like this pitching matchup a lot.

Paul Blackburn was all the rage a few weeks ago after the A’s won seven of his first nine starts. Blackburn looked like a totally different pitcher than the one that A’s fans have come to know and not love. But, over his previous two starts, Blackburn’s true colors are beginning to show under his green and white uniform. He’s given up eight runs in his last 10 ⅔ innings including two home runs. Considering Blackburn’s career ERA is 4.81, I think we’re in the middle of a sharp regression from the 28-year-old.
