Best MLB Prop Bets Today

  • Vladimir Gutierrez UNDER 3.5 Strikeouts (-134)
  • Julio Urias OVER 4.5 Strikeouts (-165)
  • Aaron Ashby OVER 4 Strikeouts (-125)
  • Pablo Lopez OVER 5.5 Strikeouts (+110)

Vladimir Gutierrez UNDER 3.5 Strikeouts (-134)

Gutierrez has only cleared this line once this season and that was on opening day. His strikeouts have declined in each game and I expect for it to have a small plateau tonight. Aside from simply not pitching well, Gutierrez isn’t pitching for long. He is averaging 4.1 innings per start. He’s not giving the Reds quality innings, so I don’t expect him to be out there long enough to pass this line. – Donnavan Smoot

Julio Urias OVER 4.5 Strikeouts (-165)

I’m sticking with the strikeout props this week, and today we’re looking at Los Angeles Dodgers starter Julio Urias against the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Urias struggled in his first start of the season, lasting just two innings against the Colorado Rockies, but he has bounced back, allowing just three hits and one earned run in his last two starts.

Urias has struck out five and six batters in those games, and now he gets an Arizona team that strikes out 9.5 times per game, good for 28 in MLB. I don’t mind laying the juice on this prop, as Urias should easily clear it on Wednesday. – Peter Dewey

Aaron Ashby OVER 4 Strikeouts (-125)

The talented Brewers left-hander isn't expected to go deep in today's game vs. Pittsburgh on the road, but I still think he can get past four strikeouts in the early evening matchup.

In the long-man role (plus a start), he's reached this number in his last three outings; the last being in just 2.1 innings.

The Pirates rank in the bottom 10 in strikeout percentage as well, making Ashby's opportunity to clear a small number a very reasonable one. – Ben Heisler

Pablo Lopez OVER 5.5 Strikeouts (+110)

Lopez has been stellar for the Marlins this season, posting an MLB best 0.52 ERA thus far. He has gone over this total in 2 of 3 starts and is now facing a porous Washington offense. I expect Lopez to keep it rolling and put up another stat line with a ton of strikeouts. – Reed Wallach
