Best MLB Prop Bets Record to Date

  • MLB Best Prop Bets Record: 94-84-0

Here are the plays our team is eyeing for tonight’s slate with odds coming from WynnBET and consensus lines.

Best MLB Prop Bets Today

  • Ian Anderson OVER 4.5 Strikeouts (-110)
  • Jordan Lyles OVER 3.5 Strikeouts (-135)
  • Dane Dunning UNDER 3.5 Strikeouts (+108)
  • Sandy Alcantara OVER 5.5 Strikeouts (-120)
  • Mitch Keller OVER 4.5 Strikeouts (+105) - (12:35 pm ET)

Ian Anderson OVER 4.5 Strikeouts (-110)

Anderson has a fantastic matchup today against the Braves. Atlanta strikes out at the highest rate in the majors. Anderson has cleared this line his last three games and is on track to do it again. He consistently goes six innings, which is plenty of time to strike out this Braves lineup. Even in a game in which he gave up 10 hits and two homers, Anderson was still able to fan nine batters. He’ll recover from a bad previous start and dominate. – Donnavan Smoot

Jordan Lyles OVER 3.5 Strikeouts (-135)

I like Baltimore Orioles starter Jordan Lyles’ matchup with the Chicago Cubs on Wednesday for a strikeout prop.

The Cubs have struggled to avoid punch outs this season, ranking 22nd in MLB with 8.68 strikeouts per game.

Lyles has failed to clear this prop in back-to-back starts, but he’s tallied four or more strikeouts in seven of his 11 outings this season. In addition to that, Lyles has at least three strikeouts in 10 of his 11 starts.

That’s a solid floor to build off of, and given Chicago’s propensity for going down to the K, I think Lyles is a solid value to clear this on Wednesday night. – Peter Dewey

Dane Dunning UNDER 3.5 Strikeouts (+108)

Time to get back of my usual strategy of take the UNDER on a pitcher's strikeout props when they're facing a team that's disciplined at the plate. No team has a lower strikeout rate than the Guardians, who only strikeout on 18.3% of their plate appearances. That's 1.1% better than the next best team, which is the Cardinals at 19.4%. Dunning has also ran into issues in a few recent starts, giving up five runs in two of his last five outings. He could be on a short leash tonight, which would certainly help this bet cash. – Iain MacMillan

Sandy Alcantara OVER 5.5 Strikeouts (-120)

Alcantara has gotten to 5 strikeouts in all but his first start this season, has landed on 5 exactly in 4 of them, and has gone over it in 6, including his last 3. All numbers are indicating that the Cy Young candidate is going to shove once more on Wednesday against a hapless Nationals offense. – Reed Wallach

Mitch Keller OVER 4.5 Strikeouts (+105) -12:35 pm ET

On Tuesday, I targeted A's left-hander Cole Irvin to hit his strikeout prop of 3.5 against the Braves despite him not throwing more than 4 in any game this year. Fortunately, he threw six as the main objective was targeting an Atlanta lineup striking out more than anyone in baseball.

On Wednesday afternoon, we'll do the same as Mitch Keller goes for the Pirates against the hapless Tigers at home. Detroit strikes out at the fifth-highest rate in baseball (24.3% K%) and are third-worst in strikeouts on the road at 26.8%.

Keller's had his struggles this year with a 5.77 ERA. However, his expected ERA (xERA) is all the way down at 4.21, implying he's had some rough luck these first few months.

As for his strikeouts, in games where he's pitched at least five innings, he's cleared 4.5 strikeouts in every one. He should get the job done at home vs. Detroit this afternoon. – Ben Heisler
