Who's ready for some Fourth of July prop bets?

We have a pair of picks in MLB on Monday, July 4 after going 1-1 with our picks on Sunday. Luis Castillo fell just short of his strikeout prop, but Brandon Woodruff was able to clear his outs prop with another dazzling performance.

Johnny Cueto OVER 15.5 Outs Recorded (-125)

Johnny Cueto has been a pleasant surprise for the Chicago White Sox, posting a 3.33 ERA in eight starts (nine appearances) this season. 

Cueto has also given the team some solid length, pitching 5.1 or more innings in every one of his starts this season. Today, his prop for outs recorded is set at 15.5, meaning Cueto needs to work into the sixth inning to clear this number. 

Since he has done it in every start this season, I am not worried about backing him against a solid Minnesota Twins lineup. Cueto hasn’t allowed more than three earned runs in a start since May, and he should be able to pitch decently deep into this matchup. – Peter Dewey

Julio Urias UNDER 5.5 Strikeouts (-165)

It's a chalky pick, but I think this is the prop to make tonight. Julio Urias is set to face the Colorado Rockies for the third time this season, and he's so far only recorded five combined strikeouts across 7.1 innings. It makes sense when you look at Colorado's strikeout rate. The Rockies rank sixth in total strikeout rate this season, and third in strikeout rate against lefties.

They've been even better in this category over their last few games, striking out on only 11.1% of plate appearances. I'll bet on Urias to go UNDER 5.5 strikeouts tonight. – Iain MacMillan
