Best MLB Prop Bets Record to Date

  • MLB Best Prop Bets Record: 71-69-0

Here are the plays our team is eyeing for tonight’s slate with odds coming from WynnBET and consensus lines.

Best MLB Prop Bets Today

  • Adam Wainwright UNDER 4.5 Strikeouts (+108)
  • Colorado Rockies Team Total OVER 3.5 Runs (-145)
  • Nestor Cortes Jr. UNDER 5.5 Strikeouts (+114)
  • Frankie Montas OVER 5.5 Strikeouts (-150)
  • Kyle Wright OVER 5.5 Strikeouts (-120)

Adam Wainwright UNDER 4.5 Strikeouts (+108)

Wainwright has only cleared this line once all season and I’m finding it hard to back him when he facing the division-leading Brewers. The one thing he has going in his favor is that he stays out on the mound for a long time, normally going six to seven innings. Still, it concerns me that he hasn’t had multiple 5-strikeout games considering how long his starts are. At plus money against a good team, I’ll gladly fade him.  – Donnavan Smoot

Colorado Rockies Team Total OVER 3.5 Runs (-145)

This number can’t be real.

The Colorado Rockies aren’t one of baseball’s best teams, but they have hit the ball well this season, and now they are facing one of the worst pitchers in MLB in Washington Nationals starter Patrick Corbin (0-7, 6.60 ERA).

Corbin has allowed FIVE or more runs in five of his nine starts this season, and the Nationals as a team have the second worst ERA in all of baseball.

Colorado ranks sixth in OPS, ninth in runs scored and eighth in slugging percentage this season. The Rockies are going to crush Corbin, just like every other team has done. Give me the over all day.Peter Dewey

Nestor Cortes Jr. UNDER 5.5 Strikeouts (+114)

At first glance, you might think that this is a bad bet considering the Rays are 18th in the Majors in strikeout rate. But, if you look at it a little bit deeper, you'll find out that they're actually fantastic in this area against lefties. They're 25th in strikeout rate against righties, but move all the way up to third in strikeout rate against left-handed pitchers. They strikeout on only 18.9% of their at bats against lefties. Despite Cortez being hot with his strikeouts as of late, I like the under tonight.. – Iain MacMillan

Frankie Montas OVER 5.5 Strikeouts (-150)

It's juicy, but I think we are getting a juiced 6 because of Montas poor outing last time out, only 1.2 innings, but he has cleared this K total in 6 of 8 starts this season, including an 8 strikeout performance against the Rangers last month. Montas is a power pitcher that is showcasing his talents for a contending team at the trade deadline and I expect he bounces back in a big way on Thursday. For what it's worth, the Rangers are striking out a slightly higher rate than the big league average this season. – Reed Wallach

Kyle Wright OVER 5.5 Strikeouts (-120)

The last time I wrote up Wright’s over, he got torpedoed at home against the Boston Red Sox; allowing six earned runs in 4.2 innings while striking out only four. Who would’ve thought it would be one of the catalysts for Boston’s resurgence? I’m glad I could provide some bulletin board material for them!

The Phillies’ lineup is no joke, but they have yet to see Wright this season as he’s off to the best start of his career with 56 strikeouts in 47 innings pitched; averaging a strikeout rate of just under 30%.

He’s also been even better at home this season. At Truist Park, Wright’s strikeout rate climbs to 31.4%, punching out 11.4 batters per nine innings. The Phillies rank 11th in most strikeouts per game (24%), which offers up plenty of K’s for the talented right-hander tonight.  – Ben Heisler
