Best MLB Prop Bets Today
- Jon Heasley UNDER 3.5 Strikeouts (-118)
- Zack Wheeler OVER 5.5 Strikeouts (-115)
- Tyler Anderson OVER 4.5 Strikeouts (-105)
Jon Heasley UNDER 3.5 Strikeouts (-118)
In his three starts this year, Heasley has given up three home runs and hasn’t cleared this line yet. The Rangers aren’t the best offense in the league, but they’ve shown they can be competent. That seems to be all it takes to get Heasley off his spot. After two suspect starts, I think Kansas City might give him a shorter leash today than ever. Even though it’s a little juiced up, this prop is a fun one. – Donnavan Smoot
Zack Wheeler OVER 5.5 Strikeouts (-115)
It’s rare that you’re going to see Zack Wheeler’s strikeouts prop this low, and I think we have to jump on it while we still can.
Wheeler got off to an awful start to the season in his first three outings, but since then he has pitched 13.2 innings of scoreless ball, recording seven punchouts in each game.
Now, Wheeler will take on a Los Angeles Dodgers team that just squandered a series against the lowly Pittsburgh Pirates. He may not dominate the Dodgers to the tune of another no-run performance, but I think Wheeler can punch out six hitters in this game, especially if he continues to go deep into contests. – Peter Dewey
Tyler Anderson OVER 4.5 Strikeouts (-105)
Anderson has cleared this prop by 2.5 strikeouts in his last start, and faces a Phillies lineup that strikes out 27% of their at-bats.
Anderson also owns a 32.4% strikeout rate against current Phillies hitters, so he’s more than capable of punching out several of their big mashers at the plate.
The only thing getting in his way? Innings. The left-hander has yet to go past five innings in any start this season, but seems to be getting stretched out longer and longer. His upside to clear the over with a small amount of juice feels like a worthwhile bet. — Ben Heisler
