Best MLB Prop Bets Record to Date

  • MLB Best Prop Bets Record: 56-53-0

Here are the plays our team is eyeing for tonight’s slate with odds coming from WynnBET and consensus lines.

Best MLB Prop Bets Today

  • Cody Poteet UNDER 2.5 Strikeouts (+120)
  • Logan Gilbert OVER 4.5 Strikeouts (-145)
  • Logan Gilbert OVER 4.5 Strikeouts (-145)
  • Adrian Houser OVER 4.5 Strikeouts (+120)
  • Dylan Cease OVER 6.5 Strikeouts (-140)

Cody Poteet UNDER 2.5 Strikeouts (+120)

This is technically the second time I’m fading Poteet today. The first was by picking Nelson Cruz to hit a home run on his watch. Poteet has one start this season over three innings. He isn’t on the mound for long. Although the Nationals aren’t a great team, I can’t trust someone who won’t be pitching for long. – Donnavan Smoot

Logan Gilbert OVER 4.5 Strikeouts (-145)

Logan Gilbert has been one of the most impressive starters in all of baseball early this season, and the Seattle Mariners youngster will take on a struggling Toronto Blue Jays team on Tuesday night.

Gilbert’s strikeout prop is at just 4.5, which is wild when you realize he’s punched out five or more hitters in four straight starts and five of his seven this season. The Jays average 8.31 strikeouts per game, and Gilbert is in the 74th percentile in strikeout percentage this season, per Baseball Savant.

This is an easy bet, even with the -145 juice. – Peter Dewey

Gilbert is an emerging star for the Mariners and will have a stiff test against an elite lineup against the Blue Jays. However, the Jays strikeout a ton, which sets up for a nice over bet on Gilbert, who has punched out at least 5 batters in all but 2 starts this season (when he struck out 4). Toronto has struck out at the 11th highest rate in baseball, and I like grabbing Gilbert despite the hefty price. – Reed Wallach

Adrian Houser OVER 4.5 Strikeouts (+120)

The Atlanta Braves have been absolutely terrible when it comes to striking out as of late. Heading into tonight's game, they're dead last in the Majors in strikeout rate at 26.5%, and they have a strikeout rate of 42.5% over their last three games. Yikes. Houser isn't exactly a strikeout artist, only averaging 7.4 Ks per nine innings, but he's set for a big performance tonight. He's surpassed this number in two of his last three starts, amassing six strikeouts in those starts. I think he hits at least five tonight. Iain MacMillan

Dylan Cease OVER 6.5 Strikeouts (-140)

If you haven’t had a chance to watch Cease pitch this year, you’re missing out.

The 26-year old has electric stuff, and ranks in the 96th percentile via MLB Statcast in strikeout percentage, as well as the 91st percentile in whiff percentage.

He faces the Kansas City Royals in pitcher-friendly Kauffman Stadium, and has owned their souls over his last three starts.

To the Royals’ credit, they rank third-best in baseball in strikeout rate, but the rest of their offense remains putrid; firing their hitting coach mid-season on Monday. With a double-header in store, expect Cease to go plenty of innings, raking up K’s along the way. – Ben Heisler
