Here are the plays our team is eyeing for tonight’s slate with odds coming from WynnBET and consensus lines.

Best MLB Prop Bets Today

  • Sean Manaea UNDER 6.5 Strikeouts (-106)
  • Carlos Carrasco OVER 4.5 Strikeouts (-115)
  • Shane Bieber OVER 6.5 Strikeouts (-115)

Sean Manaea UNDER 6.5 Strikeouts (-106)

I’m not expecting this to be a good day for Manaea. I think he’s once again going to give up a home run and will miss this line. Manaea has had a few solid performances this month, but his season stats are what I’m looking at today. He’s routinely coming in under this line, hitting the UNDER in five of his last seven starts. Although the Pirates’ offense isn’t great, Manaea’s consistency is what I’m banking on here. – Donnavan Smoot

Carlos Carrasco OVER 4.5 Strikeouts (-115)

Carrasco hasn't cleared this total in his past two starts, but I believe this start sets up favorably for him against a free swinging Phillies team. Philadelphia is 6th in strikeout rate over the last month of the season and I like the prospects of a strong Carrasco starting at home, which should give him more opportunities to clear this low mark. He has a 2.16 ERA in 4 starts at Citi Field this season, striking out 22 batters in 25 innings. – Reed Wallach

Shane Bieber OVER 6.5 Strikeouts (-115) at Tigers

It’s been an up-and-down season for the Biebs this year, but the normally reliable ace for the Guardians is in a great spot tonight in the Motor City.

Bieber’s splits have been far better on the road this year with a 2.45 ERA away from Progressive Field compared to a 5.51 ERA at home. His K-rate, however, remains consistent at just over 9 per nine innings.

He also just faced the Tigers, mowing down 10 through seven innings. Detroit’s offense ranks dead-last in MLB in Fangraphs’ Offensive Runs Above Average (OFF); a metric that takes both park adjusted runs and base running and combines the two together.

With an offense this bad, I buy Bieber’s chances to go seven-plus again tonight. – Ben Heisler
