We didn't have the best day on Wednesday, going 2-3 on our props. We got stung with a bad beat in the Rays-Yankees game, but that's just part of the game. Today, Iain MacMillan and Donnavan Smoot are backing two pitchers, while Ben Heisler is chasing a low strikeout total. Can the team bounce back with a sweep?

There’s a lot of picks to get to, so let’s jump right into it.

Best MLB Prop Bets Record to Date

  • MLB Best Prop Bets Record: 111-95-0

Here are the plays our team is eyeing for tonight’s slate with odds coming from WynnBET and consensus lines.

Best MLB Prop Bets Today

  • Matt Swarmer OVER 3.5 Strikeouts (-115)
  • George Kirby OVER 5.5 Strikeouts (-145)
  • Tyler Wells OVER 3.5 Strikeouts (+130)

Matt Swarmer OVER 3.5 Strikeouts (-115)

Swarmer has had issues keeping the ball in play this season, giving up nine home runs in three starts. However, he’s cleared this line in every start this season. It’s clear that even if he has a rough outing, the Cubs are going to leave him in to get them through five innings. Swarmer has a decent amount of time to get a few strikeouts. The Padres are near the middle of the pack in strikeout rate this year. They aren’t an all-time lineup, so I trust Swarmer to reach this with sufficient innings. – Donnavan Smoot

George Kirby OVER 5.5 Strikeouts (-145)

George Kirby was my preseason bet to win AL Rookie of the Year, and while he's likely not going to win that, I can still bet on him to hit the over on his strikeout props. Tonight seems like the perfect time to do it, considering he's facing an Angels team that ranks dead last in the Majors in strikeout percentage against righties. They strikeout on 26.1% of their plate appearances against right-handed pitchers, which is one of the ugliest stats you'll find. Kirby hasn't surpassed this number in two-straight games, but tonight is a good chance for him to get back to his form he had in late May when eh recorded 9 against the Athletics and eight against the Orioles. – Iain MacMillan

Tyler Wells OVER 3.5 Strikeouts (+130)

I'm chasing a good line with Wells in the four-game series finale in Toronto, as the Blue Jays' numbers have not been as good in day games compared to night games this year.

Toronto's vaunted lineup has handled right-handed pitching well this year, but they have yet to see Wells this season. If he can use his slider and changeup when he gets ahead in the count, he actually can rack up a few strikeouts against an aggressive Blue Jays team.

The Orioles' need him to go deep again with their bullpen worn out, so while the final result may be close, the payout will be decent once it hits. – Ben Heisler
