Best MLB Prop Bets Record to Date

Best MLB Prop Bets Today

  • Cristian Javier OVER 6.5 Strikeouts (-140)
  • Mitch White UNDER 4.5 Strikeouts (+110)
  • Robbie Grossman O 0.5 Total Bases (-160)

Cristian Javier OVER 6.5 Strikeouts (-140)

Houston Astros starter Cristian Javier was magnificent in his last outing against the New York Yankees, tossing seven no-hit innings and striking out 13 batters. He’s been on fire with the punch outs lately, tallying 10, seven, 14 and 13 strikeouts over his last four starts.

Dating back to May 20, Javier has cleared 6.5 strikeouts in seven of his last 10 starts. The Yankees average 8.40 strikeouts per game this season, so this is certainly doable for Javier, especially if he gets deep into this game.

I like him to build on a strong close to the first half of the season in Game 1 of today’s doubleheader. -- Peter Dewey

Mitch White UNDER 4.5 Strikeouts (+110)

We're getting favorable odds on the UNDER for Mitch White's strikeout total tonight, despite him surpassing this number only three times in his 13 starts this season.

He will face the Giants tonight, who admittedly rank in the bottom half of MLB in strikeout rate at 22.9%, but they went into the All-Star break trending in the right direction. They only struck out in 17.9% of their plate appearances in their final three games. -- Iain MacMillan

Robbie Grossman O 0.5 Total Bases (-160)

The switch-hitting Tigers outfielder gets his better side today in the middle of the Detroit lineup vs. left-hander Zach Logue, who enters this afternoon's doubleheader with a 5.16 ERA and 6.04 expected ERA (xERA).

Grossman is hitting .353 this season vs. left-handed pitchers from the right side, compared to a paltry .148 against right-handers. His OPS as a right-hander more than doubles his numbers as a left-hander, while cutting his strikeouts down from 31.5% to 22.9%.

This is an elite matchup against a bad pitcher, and -160 is not too high of a price to pay. -- Ben Heisler
