Yesterday was a decent day for the team. We went 2-2, with Hunter Greene's props splitting the team up. Today is a new day. We have five props, with four of them being OVERs for pitchers. The one fade... comes from a Cy Young candidate.

Best MLB Prop Bets Record to Date

  • MLB Best Prop Bets Record: 91-82-0

Here are the plays our team is eyeing for tonight’s slate with odds coming from WynnBET and consensus lines.

Best MLB Prop Bets Today

  • Alek Manoah UNDER 5.5 Strikeouts (-125)
  • Edward Cabrera OVER 5.5 Strikeouts (+125)
  • Graham Ashcraft OVER 4.5 Strikeouts (+122)
  • Ranger Suarez OVER 4.5 Strikeouts (-105)
  • Cole Irvin OVER 3.5 Strikeouts (+110)

Alek Manoah UNDER 5.5 Strikeouts (-125)

Manoah has missed this line in four of his last five starts, and it won’t be easy tonight to rack up the Ks. The Jays face the Kansas City Royals who, despite being a bad offense, are one of the hardest teams to strike out. Manoah’s last month has lent itself to the under in this prop. While he has been going deeper into his starts, the Ks haven’t followed. .   – Donnavan Smoot

Edward Cabrera OVER 5.5 Strikeouts (+125)

This is an ultra-aggressive play on Miami Marlins youngster Edward Cabrera, but he was electric in his first start of the season against the Colorado Rockies, allowing just one hit and striking out nine over six innings of work.

Cabrera has crazy stuff, and he diced up a Colorado team that is ninth in baseball in strikeouts per game this season.

Now, he faces another good team at avoiding K’s in the Washington Nationals (7.29 per game), but I think Cabrera has the stuff to clear 5.5 punchouts at plus money today. The sample is small, but the Nationals also are one of the worst teams in baseball. If Cabrera gets through six innings again, he’s going to rack up the strikeouts. – Peter Dewey

Graham Ashcraft OVER 4.5 Strikeouts (+122)

The Diamondbacks are on the verge of surpassing the Braves as the worst strikeout team in the Majors. They strikeout on 25.2% of their plate appearances, including 32.2% of their plate appearances over their last three games. Ashcraft surpassed this total in his last game, striking out the Nationals five times through seven innings. As long as he can stay in the game long enough tonight, I think he can hit the over on this total for his second-straight start. – Iain MacMillan

Ranger Suarez OVER 4.5 Strikeouts (-105)

This is more of a fade against the Brewers offense against a lefty in Suarez. The Brewers have a K rate north of 27% against southpaws this season and are 19th in batting average against lefties. So, we can expect Suarez to give some length in this matchup given the Brewers struggles against lefties. He has gone over this total in 4 of his last 5 starts and in the one he didn't he got exactly 4. – Reed Wallach

Cole Irvin OVER 3.5 Strikeouts (+110)

“Really, Ben? You want to back the guy with one of the lowest strikeout/nine inning starters in the game?”

Yes. Yes, I do.

Irvin does have a K/9 of 5.52 this year, but he’s also hit the over in all but two of his starts, and now faces a Braves lineup that strikes out the most of anyone in baseball at 25.6%!

Irvin has gone five or more innings in every start this year, so the concern for a short appearance or hook is all but non-existent, and Atlanta has struggled almost as much with left-handers as right-handers (24.6% K-rate).

The numbers back Irvin at this number as well as any other time this season. I’ll happily grab it with plus-odds. – Ben Heisler
