The BetSided crew missed on our two MLB props by the slimmest of margins on Saturday.

New York Yankees starter Jameson Taillon barely got over his projected strikeout total of 4.5 to finish with 5, while St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Miles Mikolas failed to clear his over of 4.5 to end his day at 4.

WIth the final day of baseball's first half of the regular season just hours away, here are our favorite MLB props from our team this Sunday.

All odds are via consensus sportsbooks.

  • Rafael Devers OVER 1.5 Total Bases (+115)
  • Rhys Hoskins OVER 1.5 Total Bases (+120)
  • Dylan Cease OVER 7.5 Strikeouts (+105)

Rafael Devers OVER 1.5 Total Bases (+115) - Boston Red Sox at New York Yankees

If anyone has Gerrit Cole’s number, it’s Rafael Devers.

For his career, Devers is hitting .304 with six homers and 15 runs batted in against Cole. He’s had 23 at bats against the New York Yankees’ ace, and of Devers seven hits, he’s left the yard six times. The Boston Red Sox star has been killing the Yankees all season, and I think this number is way too low, considering Devers could clear it easily with another homer off Cole.

At plus-money, this is my favorite prop on the board Sunday.

Rhys Hoskins OVER 1.5 Total Bases (+120) - Philadelphia Phillies at Miami Marlins

I'm taking a similar line of thinking as Peter by going with Hoskins to clear his 1.5 total bases today against left-hander Trevor Rogers of the Marlins.

Over his career, Hoskins has mashed against Rogers with seven hits in 14 ABs, including three home runs and four extra base hits. He's hitting .500 with an OBP of 5.63 and a slugging percentage of 1.214.

This isn't just a one-off for Hoskins either. He's a far superior hitter vs. left-handed pitching, putting up a .423 weighted on-base average (wOBA) vs. lefties vs. .333 against right-handers, as well as a 1.002 OPS vs. .765.

Between his success vs. southpaws, and especially his numbers against Rogers, +120 feels like a steal. -- Ben Heisler

Dylan Cease Over 7.5 Strikeouts (+105) - Chicago White Sox at Minnesota Twins

Cease is on an obscene stretch, allowing one run or fewer in nine consecutive starts while compiling a 0.53 ERA in that span.

He's cleared this prop in six of his last seven outings and is in great shape to do so once again today. Minnesota struck out 11 times yesterday as their lineup is sputtering. Cease's dominant strikeout pitch is his slider, with a whiff rate just under 50%. Well, every Twins' regular except Luis Arraez has a whiff rate over 25% against sliders.
