Best MLB Prop Bets Record to Date

  • MLB Best Prop Bets Record: 45-46-0

Here are the plays our team is eyeing for tonight’s slate with odds coming from WynnBET and consensus lines.

Best MLB Prop Bets Today

  • Sandy Alcantara OVER 5.5 Strikeouts (+116)
  • Ian Anderson UNDER 4.5 Strikeouts (-140)
  • Shane McClanahan OVER 6.5 Strikeouts (-125)
  • Merrill Kelly Over 4.5 Strikeouts (-130)
  • Shane McClanahan OVER 6.5 Strikeouts (-125)

Sandy Alcantara OVER 5.5 Strikeouts (+116)

Alcantara is consistently around this number. He hasn’t been more than a strikeout away from this prop all season long. Alcantara is facing off against the Diamondbacks tonight, who strikeout at the fourth-highest rate in the Majors. Alcantara is on a pattern of clearing this line, and then missing it the next. He’s bounced back several times this season to clear this line and I’m backing him tonight with great value.  – Donnavan Smoot

Ian Anderson UNDER 4.5 Strikeouts (-140)

Atlanta Braves starter Ian Anderson will make his sixth start of the 2022 season on Wednesday against the Boston Red Sox.

So far this season, Anderson hasn’t had crazy strikeout stuff, as he’s punched out just 18 batters in 24.2 innings. He has cleared 4.5 strikeouts in two different outings this season, but he’s also struck out just one batter on two separate occasions this year.

The Red Sox are one of the better teams in baseball at avoiding strikeouts, punching out just 8.07 times per game. I think Anderson is a solid bet to go under this number, especially since he has thrown more than six innings in a game this season.Peter Dewey

Shane McClanahan OVER 6.5 Strikeouts (-125)

I missed on McClanahan's strikeout total in his last start, but I think we can bounce back with a big performance tonight. He'll face the Angels, who rank 23rd in strikeout percentage, striking out on 24.3% of plate appearances. He's surpassed 6.5 strikeouts in five of his six starts this season, and I think he'll hit it again tonight. – Iain MacMillan

Merrill Kelly Over 4.5 Strikeouts (-130)

Kelly has cleared this prop in four of his six starts, coming up just one strikeout shy in his other two outings. The Marlins average nearly 10 strikeouts per game on the road, and with Kelly's ability to go deep into games, I expect him to clear this prop with ease. – Joseph Summers

Shane McClanahan OVER 6.5 Strikeouts (-125)

It's not often that McClanahan is the underlooked pitcher on the slate, but when you're opposed by AL MVP favorite Shohei Ohtani, it's easy to get lost in the shuffle.

The 25-year old lefty ranks in the 95th percentile in strikeout percentage, and 92nd percentile in whiff percentage, via MLB Statcast data.

He's also struck out 33.3% of current Angels hitters through his young career.

The books have backed his number down following two straight games of five punch outs, but even vs. a good Angels offense, expect McClanahan to have a little extra oomph as he opposes Ohtani. – Ben Heisler
