There is plenty of juice that you have to lay with this prop, but it’s worth it in Stephen Strasburg’s season debut.

The Washington Nationals ace is facing a Miami Marlins team that strikes out 8.85 times per game, striking out a league high 29.2 percent of the time.

Strasburg was dominant in his rehab starts leading up to this outing, so I think he has four punch outs in him against this struggling lineup. – Peter Dewey

It's becoming a pretty simple strategy. Just find out whatever starting pitcher is going against the Guardians, and take the UNDER on their strikeout total. It worked for us yesterday, as Dane Dunning tallied only one single strikeout! The Guardians ability to not strikeout is truly remarkable. They lowered they strikeout rate even more last night, and now it sits at 18.2%, 1.3% better than the next best team. Let's continue to ride this strategy tonight. – Iain MacMillan

J.T. Brubaker OVER 4.5 Strikeouts (-135)

Another day, another opportunity to target a strikeout-heavy Braves lineup with a player prop that’s underpriced due to the overall matchup.

At first glance, Pirates starter J.T. Brubaker doesn’t look like a good play. The Pirates are +237 underdogs on the moneyline at WynnBET Sportsbook and he has yet to record a win this season in 11 starts.

However, his strikeout numbers per nine innings (9.23) are in the top third for pitcher’s starting today’s slate, but his prop number of 4.5 is amongst the lowest of all of them.

He’s failed to hit the over in three straight games, but I just don’t trust the Braves to lay off bad pitches, as evidenced by their league leading strikeout rate all season long.

Brubaker’s also been unlucky this year with an ERA of 4.70, but an expected ERA (xERA) of 4.03. If his control is there, he should clear 4.5 K’s easily. – Ben Heisler
