Best MLB Prop Bets Today

  • Dakota Hudson OVER 3.5 strikeouts (-160)
  • Carlos Rodon UNDER 7.5 Strikeouts (+100)
  • Brad Keller UNDER 3.5 Strikeouts (+114)
  • Julio Urias UNDER 4.5 Strikeouts (+125)
  • Brandon Woodruff OVER 6.5 strikeouts (+105)

Dakota Hudson OVER 3.5 Strikeouts (-160)

I have complete faith in Dakota Hudson to clear this line tonight. He’s hit it each start he’s had this season. The one game Hudson missed this line in, he only pitched for three innings. As long as he has a regular start length, he’ll get to his standard four strikeouts per game. Kansas City is the second hardest team to strike out, but Hudson has been the model of consistency this season, so I’ll back Hudson. – Donnavan Smoot

Carlos Rodon UNDER 7.5 Strikeouts (+100)

Carlos Rodon has been fantastic to start this season, punching out eight or more batters in each of his first four starts, but I think he’s due for some regressions against a solid Los Angeles Dodgers offense on Tuesday.

The Dodgers average just 8.1 strikeouts per game this season, including just 7.8 per game at home. Rodon’s prop is juiced heavily to the OVER, but the Dodgers are one of the more disciplined teams in baseball.

A seven-strikeout game would be solid against this team, and I’d rather trust Los Angeles to avoid the punch out rather than lay the juice on the OVER in this prop. – Peter Dewey

Brad Keller UNDER 3.5 Strikeouts (+114)

Brad Keller has never been known as a strikeout pitcher, and now he takes the mound against the St. Louis Cardinals, who have the best strikeout rate in the Majors. The Cards strikeout on only 19.9% of plate appearances this season. Keller's last start, in which he pitched seven full innings, he only managed to get three Ks. Another performance like that, and we'll cash this plus-money prop. – Iain MacMillan

Julio Urias UNDER 4.5 Strikeouts (+125)

Urias may have filthy stuff, and bettors may be confused why such a talent is being priced so low on his strikeout total. Well, it's because Urias has struggled in 2022. Despite a 2.50 ERA, his FIP is nearly double that and he is facing a Giants team that has a walk rate north of 12% against left handed pitching. By working counts and getting on base, this may be a short outing for the southpaw starter. At + money I'll take a shot on a low K total from Urias. – Reed Wallach

Brandon Woodruff OVER 6.5 strikeouts (+105) vs. Reds

Getting to seven strikeouts may feel like a high number for a pitcher that's only hit it once this year, but Brandon Woodruff has the ideal matchup at home vs. the Reds to exceed this number.

Woodruff has fanned just under 37% of Cincinnati's current hitters, via MLB Statcast. The Reds are bottom-3 in baseball in strikeout percentage this year.

Oh, and in case you need another reason to back Woodruff today, the Reds are also on pace to be the worst offensive team in Major Baseball history. Not this year, but ever. Not a typo.

Pour one out for Cincinnati fans this year. Maybe you can even buy the drink when this over hits. – Ben Heisler
