Both Iain and Peter are looking at plus money player props on a pair of pitchers. Zac Gallen has a favorable matchup against the struggling Pittsburgh Pirates, while there’s a reason you should fade Keegan Thompson against the Washington Nationals.

Best MLB Prop Bets Record to Date
- MLB Best Prop Bets Record: 179-157-0
Best MLB Prop Bets Today
- Zac Gallen UNDER 4.5 Hits Allowed (+120)
- Keegan Thompson UNDER 3.5 Strikeouts (+135)
Zac Gallen UNDER 4.5 Hits Allowed (+120)
Zac Gallen has fallen off a bit after a hot start to the 2022 season, but he has an easy matchup with the Pittsburgh Pirates on Monday night.
Over the last 15 days, the Pirates have the second fewest hits in baseball, registering 94 in 13 games. They did pick up five hits against Gallen back on June 5, but since then Gallen has posted six starts allowing four or fewer hits.
Pittsburgh has the fourth worst average over the last few weeks, and Gallen is really starting to get back on track with a 2.22 ERA and a .177 opponent batting average over his last four starts. – Peter Dewey
Keegan Thompson UNDER 3.5 Strikeouts (+135)
The Washington Nationals might be the worst team in Major League Baseball, but they're surprisingly extremely good at not striking out, especially against right-handed pitchers. Dating back to July 1, the Nationals have the second lowest strikeout rate against righties at 18.6%.
Today, they head to Wrigley Field to take on the Chicago Cubs. Keegan Thompson will be getting the start for the Cubbies, and obviously, he's right-handed. He hasn't surpassed 3.5 strikeouts in three of his last five games, and I'll back him to fail to surpass that number again today, especially with the odds set at +135. – Iain MacMillan
