Here are the plays our team is eyeing for tonight’s slate with all odds via WynnBET:

Best MLB Prop Bets Today

  • Dakota Hudson OVER 3.5 Strikeouts (-128)
  • Miami Marlins Team Total OVER 4.0 Runs (-120)
  • Zack Wheeler OVER 5.5 Strikeouts (-110)
  • Jameson Taillon OVER 5.5 Strikeouts (-150)

Dakota Hudson OVER 3.5 Strikeouts (-128)

Hudson has gotten better with each start this season. His hits have gone down and the strikeouts have gone down. That’s a perfect way to come into this matchup with the Diamondbacks. Arizona strikes out at the fifth-highest rate in baseball. If Hudson can continue to stay on the mound, like he did in his last start, then this is a no-brainer for me.  – Donnavan Smoot

Miami Marlins Team Total OVER 4.0 Runs (-120)

I love the Miami Marlins on Thursday against the Washington Nationals, as they are facing Patrick Corbin (0-3, 11.20 ERA), who has allowed 24 hits in just 13.2 innings so far this season.

The Nationals’ pitching staff is downright awful, allowing a league-worst 107 runs so far this season.

The Marlins are just 21st in the league in runs scored this season, but they are 13th in OPS and have scored five or more runs in four of their last six games.

I think this is a great spot to jump on Miami with Corbin’s season already in the tank. – Peter Dewey

Zack Wheeler OVER 5.5 Strikeouts (-110)

After a brilliant 2021 season in Philadelphia, Zack Wheeler’s 2022 campaign has been brutal. He’s 0-3 through three starts with an ERA of 8.53 combined with a strikeout rate that’s way down from last year, and a walk rate that’s correspondingly way up.

But here’s why he’s about to turn the corner.

Granted he gave up four runs in five innings vs. the Brewers last Saturday, but Wheeler got back to punching guys out; averaging nine an inning. He also didn’t walk anyone in five innings as well.

Wheeler now faces a slumping Rockies club hitting a full .40 points lower on the road. His Phillies have scored 25 runs in the last three games, so if that run support continues, he’ll have a chance to pitch his longest game of the year thus far.

Don’t let the early numbers fool you on Wheeler. He’ll turn it around and breeze past his strikeout prop. – Ben Heisler

Jameson Taillon OVER 5.5 Strikeouts (-150)

Let's not overthink this one. Let's hit a winner and then move on to the NFL Draft. Jameson Taillon faces the Orioles today. who have the third highest strikeout rate in the Majors, striking out on 26.2% of their plate appearances. He has only surpassed this total once this season, but he's yet to pitch more than five innings. I think the Yankees will stretch him out for at least six innings tonight, and if they do, I think he covers this number with ease. – Iain MacMillan
