Game 2 of the Warriors-Mavericks game was fantastic. It had big star performances, a major comeback and a lot of playoff chippiness. Hopefully, Game 3 of the Heat-Celtics series finally gifts us a close game. It’s been hard handicapping the game, but I have a handle on a few props for tonight’s game.

Best NBA Prop Bets Today

  • Marcus Smart OVER 6.5 Assists (-105)
  • Heat +6.5 vs. Celtics

Marcus Smart OVER 6.5 Assists (-105)

Smart has cleared this line in his last three games. Now that the Celtics are back home, I expect the role players to continue to play well. Smart was aggressive in Game 2, but he won’t have to be in this game. His role players will shoot the ball well and make his job as the facilitator easier. This is asking for a little under half of the amount of assists he had in Game 2. I think with Brown and Tatum still cooking, Smart could clear this line early.

Heat +6.5 vs. Celtics

My first thought when I looked at this line was that it’s disrespectful to the Heat. Game 2 was clearly a terrible game, but the Heat have shown the ability to flip the switch and be dominant. However, in the spirit of full transparency, I have had a terrible time handicapping the Celtics.

Boston seems to have a historic, hot-shooting game when they need to – which ends up making my prediction way off. The Celtics did look great defensively with Horford and Smart back in the lineup, though. That is my main concern for the Heat, especially with Bam Adebayo being close to a non-factor on offense.

The Celtics are going back home, have all the momentum and seem primed to go up 2-1. Even if they do, I refuse to believe they won’t regress a little bit from three. I’ll back Miami to rebound and at least look competent in Game 3.
