Best NBA Prop Bets Today for Celtics vs. Raptors (Back Boston in First Half, Jayson Tatum on Monday)
By Peter Dewey
The Boston Celtics and Toronto Raptors face off in a key Eastern Conference battle on Monday in what is supposed to be a close game.
If you’re looking for a pick on the game, I gave that here.
However, we’re here for some prop betting action, with plays for Boston and Jayson Tatum in Toronto:
Celtics vs. Raptors Best NBA Prop Bets
- Jayson Tatum OVER 28.5 Points
- Celtics First Half OVER 58.5 Points
- Scottie Barnes OVER 11.5 Rebounds and Assists
Jayson Tatum OVER 28.5 Points
This is a bit of a value spot for Tatum, who has scored 29 or more points in five of his last six games.
Tatum’s prop number has been consistently around 29.5, so getting this down a point at 28.5 feels like a steal considering how badly the Raptors defended against the New Orleans Pelicans and Brooklyn Nets.
The Celtics star looks like an MVP candidate right now, so I’ll gladly take him to have a big game here on the road.
Celtics First Half OVER 58.5 Points
The Celtics are the best offense in the NBA this season, posting a historic offensive rating so far this season and leading the NBA in 3-pointers made per game and 3-point percentage.
Boston also leads the NBA in first half points per game, putting up 63.7 per night on the season.
Yes, Toronto has a top-10 defensive rating this season, but Boston has gone over this number in 19 of their 24 games so far this season.
Scottie Barnes OVER 11.5 Rebounds and Assists
Scottie Barnes is averaging 11.8 rebounds and assists per game this season, and he’s been elite going over this number as of late, posting 12 and 18 rebounds and assists in his last two games.
If Boston has a flaw, it comes in the rebounding department, as the team is just 20th in the league in rebounding percentage.
Barnes should get plenty of opportunities to facilitate as well with the Raptors trying to keep up with the league’s best offense.
