Best NBA Prop Bets Today for Clippers vs. Heat (Paul George, Kyle Lowry Should Fill Stat Sheet)
By Peter Dewey
The Los Angeles Clippers are looking to rebound from a frustrating loss to the Orlando Magic on Wednesday night when they take on the Miami Heat on Thursday.
Miami has dropped back-to-back games, getting blown out by the Detroit Pistons in its last matchup. With Jimmy Butler listed as questionable, the Heat could be in trouble offensively. They currently rank 26th in the NBA in offensive rating.
Kawhi Leonard will likely sit out the second leg of a back-to-back for Los Angeles, so does that give up any value in the prop market?
Here are three plays that I’m eyeing for Thursday’s action:
Clippers vs. Heat Best NBA Prop Bets
- Paul George OVER 31.5 Points, Rebounds and Assists
- Ivica Zubac OVER 10.5 Rebounds
- Kyle Lowry OVER 22.5 Points, Rebounds and Assists
Paul George OVER 31.5 Points, Rebounds and Assists
Paul George is averaging 22.7 points, 5.9 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game this season, clearing 31.5 PRA in nine of his 18 games.
He’s failed to clear this in his first two games back from injury, but George may have a bigger role tonight if Leonard is out.
The Clippers star is still seeing plenty of usage in the shots department, and he’s almost a lock to go OVER this number if he finishes with more than 20 points. I’ll back PG to have a major role tonight.
Ivica Zubac OVER 10.5 Rebounds
The Heat are one of the worst rebounding teams in the NBA this season, ranking 23rd in rebounding percentage, which should open up plenty of opportunities for big man Ivica Zubac.
Zubac has cleared 10.5 boards in seven of his last 11 games, averaging 11.5 per game on the season. He should play a full complement of minutes against Bam Adebayo and Miami, and he’s an elite force on the offensive glass, averaging 4.0 per game over his last 17 contests.
Kyle Lowry OVER 22.5 Points, Rebounds and Assists
Kyle Lowry has been the iron man for the Heat this season, playing in all 25 of the team’s games and clearing this number for points, rebounds and assists in 17 of them.
Lowry’s role could vary depending upon Jimmy Butler’s status, but he’s averaging 14.4 points, 5.0 rebounds and 6.0 assists per game (25.4 PRA) so far this season.
The Clippers are one of the best defensive teams in the NBA, but with Gabe Vincent already ruled out, Lowry is going to play big minutes regardless in this game and should be able to get OVER this number.
