Kings at Jazz: De'Aaron Fox OVER 5.5 Assists

The Kings will need premium minutes out of Fox this evening when they head to Salt Lake City as 9-point road underdogs vs. the Jazz. Below, my colleague Peter Dewey contends that Fox will not live up to his projection for total points scored, and I tend to agree, but I do think he'll look to be more of a distributor this evening. Over his career, Fox has had issues getting to the rim with Gobert and company in the way.

Rather than force the shot, look for guys like Harrison Barnes, Tyrese Haliburton and Buddy Hield to help better space the floor and get more open looks with Gobert inside protecting the rim.

I think Fox should get to 7+ assists easily, but the fact that it's at 5.5 with excellent odds makes it even more fun to play tonight. -- Ben Heisler

Kings at Jazz: De'Aaron Fox UNDER 23.5 Points

Fox hasn’t gotten out to a fast start this season, as he’s averaging just 18.5 points per game while shooting 37.7 percent from the field and a dreadful 17.1 percent from 3-point range. For some reason, his points prop is at 23.5 against the Utah Jazz on Tuesday who come into this game with the second-best defensive rating in the NBA.

Fox had a season-low 12 points on 5-of-19 shooting when these teams faced off on Oct. 22, and I expect him to struggle to score in this one.

I know the -135 juice is less than ideal, but you have to fade Fox until he shows some sign of turning things around shooting. -- Peter Dewey

Kings at Jazz: Harrison Barnes OVER 17.5 Points

For the second time in less than a week, I’m going to put my money on Harrison Barnes hitting the over on his point total.

Barnes is coming off a subpar game against the Mavericks in which he shot 1-for-8 from downtown and 5-of-16 overall. Barnes should get back on track tonight against a Jazz team he dropped 25 on about two weeks ago. Barnes has been a key cog in Sacramento’s offense and will have all the opportunity to put the ball in the basket tonight. -- Donnavan Smoot

Kings at Jazz: Rudy Gobert OVER 14.5 Points (-130)

You have to pay a price for this number, but Gobert is in a good spot to feast on a Kings team that is 23rd in defensive rebounding percentage and 11th in pace.

There should be plenty of put back opportunities for the Jazz big man on Tuesday night and a high volume of shots from both sides.

He is averaging over 16 points per game this season and shooting a career best from the free throw line at 72%. I like this over up to 15.5 (-105) -- Reed Wallach

Rockets at Lakers: Christian Wood OVER 9.5 Rebounds

Christian Wood has been absolutely dominant this season when it comes to grabbing boards. He's averaging 11.5 per game, and has recorded fewer than nine only once this season, and it came in a blowout loss to the Jazz when he only saw 27 minutes of playing time.

Now he faces the Lakers for the second straight game, and he recorded 13 rebounds against them in their first meeting. Los Angeles ranks 23rd in the NBA in rebounding rate (48%), so Wood should have no issue having another big game on the glass tonight. -- Iain MacMillan
