Best NBA Prop Bets Today

  • Lu Dort OVER 14.5 Points (-120)
  • Karl-Anthony Towns OVER 22.5 Points (-110)
  • Rudy Gobert OVER 13.5 Points (-111)
  • D'Angelo Russell UNDER 24.5 Points, Rebounds and Assists (-105)
  • DeMar DeRozan OVER 25.5 Points (-108)

Lu Dort OVER 14.5 Points (-120)

With Josh Giddey out tonight, we have a good opportunity to back Lu Dort tonight. While he’s seen as a defensive menace, Dort has been solid as a scorer this season.

He’s cleared this line in three of his last four games. Excluding a terrible 1-for-11 night, Dort is averaging 16 points per game in the early part of this season. Orlando is 17th in defensive rating this year, so I don’t expect them to be smothering on the Oklahoma City Thunder’s second option. – Donnavan Smoot

Karl-Anthony Towns OVER 22.5 Points (-110)

This is a great matchup for Karl-Anthony Towns and Rudy Gobert with Deandre Ayton out for the Phoenix Suns. Jock Landale and Bismack Biyombo will handle the majority of the minutes at center, and I think the lack of size for the Suns helps Towns pick up some easy buckets in this game.

KAT is averaging 21.3 points per game this season, clearing his prop for tonight in just three games, but he’s seen his usage steady over the last few games.

After taking 10, 25 and nine shots in his first three outings this season, Towns has attempted 14 or more shots in each of his last four, averaging 23.8 points per game over that stretch.

The Wolves have to take advantage of Phoenix’s banged up frontcourt, so I’ll back Towns to turn in another strong scoring performance tonight. – Peter Dewey

Rudy Gobert OVER 13.5 Points (-111)

Rudy Gobert has been taking more shots this season than ever before, more than nine per game this season, and has cleared in three of seven games. I'm simply taking the number here and banking on volume for Gobert to get there as Chris Finch and the Timberwolves offense continues to try and get him involved.

It doesn't hurt that Deandre Ayton should be out for this one for Minnesota's opponent the Suns. – Reed Wallach

D'Angelo Russell UNDER 24.5 Points, Rebounds and Assists (-105)

Minnesota may be playing fast with the fourth-fastest pace in the NBA, but Russell's statline has not benefited from the new-look T-Wolves in the early going.

Russell has gone under 24.5 in four of seven matchups this year, and via @PropBetGuy, he's been involved in pick-and-roll plays less in 2022, with teammate Anthony Edwards becoming the team's No. 1 option. As a result, Russell's assist opportunities have dropped.

Now, he faces a Suns team with a top-5 defensive rating and also rank top-5 in field goal percentage and assists/game.

Russell may eventually get going, but the breakout isn't coming in Phoenix this evening. – Ben Heisler

DeMar DeRozan OVER 25.5 Points (-108)

DeMar DeRozan is today's lucky winner in "Who Gets to Play the Brooklyn Nets?"

Brooklyn now has the 29th-ranked defense in rating and has had, um, a bit of a chaotic day. Thus, I love DeRozan's chances to clear this prop.

He's averaging 25.9 points per game on the young season after averaging nearly 28 points per game last year. By clearing this prop in four of seven games, missing it against strong defenses like the Cleveland Cavaliers and Philadelphia 76ers, DeRozan is showing he's still an elite offensive player and the leader of Chicago's attack.

DeRozan has at least 28 points in two of his three games against the Nets with the Chicago Bulls, and I expect him to shot hunt early and often. Back DeRozan with confidence to clear this prop, as I think he'll score 30-plus. – Joe Summers
