Best NBA Prop Bets Today
- Spencer Dinwiddie OVER 21.5 Points (-115)
- Jordan Clarkson OVER 11.5 Points (-125)
Spencer Dinwiddie OVER 21.5 Points (-115)
Spencer Dinwiddie's usage is off the charts with Luka Doncic out of the lineup and I'm thrilled this number is where it was in Game 1.
Dinwiddie scored 22 in the opener, but that's a bit of a red herring to his actual scoring chances. He shot an uncharacteristic 10-of-16 from the free throw line. He also had 15 shots to Jalen Brunson's 24. Both are going to hoist up shots but I think Dinwiddie shoots a bit more from deep (0-for-4 from beyond the arc) after Rudy Gobert shut down the interior in Game 1.
Again, this price is too cheap given his usage and his ability to get to the line as well as likely shot volume. – Reed Wallach
Jordan Clarkson OVER 11.5 Points (-125)
I’m buying low on Jordan Clarkson for the Utah Jazz, as he took just seven shots but scored nine points in 19:36 of gametime in Game 1.
Clarkson averaged 27.1 minutes per game this season, and he took an average of 14.1 shots per game. So, Game 1 we saw Clarkson at half of his volume and still get close to this number?
Yes, Quin Snyder may be shortening his rotation and Clarkson’s minutes a bit in the playoffs, but the Jazz struggled mightily offensively in Game 1. I wouldn’t be surprised if going more to Clarkson’s microwave scoring is an adjustment in Game 2.
Prior to the playoffs, Clarkson had scored 12 or more points in 11 of his last 14 games. I’ll buy low on this number being at 11.5 for a player who averaged 16.0 points per game in the regular season. – Peter Dewey
