The Bucks and Knicks square off tonight in Milwaukee, with both teams coming off good wins. This was a lopsided series last year, with the Bucks winning three of the four games. Now that the Knicks have made some additions and the Bucks are without two key players, will this be a chance for New York to stake its claim in this series?

There are several big name players in this game, so instead of looking at the spread or total, let’s check out the prop market.

Best Prop Bets For Knicks-Bucks

  • Jalen Brunson UNDER 17.5 Points
  • Brook Lopez OVER 1.5 Threes
  • R.J. Barrett UNDER 19.5 Points

Jalen Brunson UNDER 17.5 Points

Brunson has cleared this line in his last two games, but that has also been with a 41-minute game against the Hornets and against the Magic in the game prior. Neither of those teams are elite defensively, with both ranking in the bottom half of the league in defensive rating. Tonight, Brunson will have to face the Bucks – who are No. 1 in defense and have the best guard defender in the league in Jrue Holiday. Expect Brunson to get the ball out of his hands quickly and to be a facilitator more than a scorer.

Brook Lopez OVER 1.5 Threes

This prop is all about volume for me. Lopez, with Pat Connaughton and Khris Middleton out, has fully embraced his role as a three point shooter. Lopez is taking nearly eight threes per game (7.7 to be exact) and knocking in 35% of them. With that type of volume, backing Lopez tonight is arguably my favorite prop of the night.

R.J. Barrett UNDER 19.5 Points

Barrett, like Brunson, has cleared this line in his last two games. However, I’m sensing some regression. Barrett has had to take an increased load defensively with Brunson playing point guard. All that running around trying to stay in front of his man will come back to bite him tonight against Jrue Holiday. Barrett also hasn’t been shooting well to start the year. He’s shootin 37% from the floor and 14.3% from three. With big responsibility on both ends of the court, I don’t see Barrett having a dominant game tonight.
