The matchup of the night in the NBA is between the Phoenix Suns and Dallas Mavericks, as the two teams renew last year’s rivalry from the Western Conference semifinals.

Dallas is favored at home in this game, but we’re focusing on some prop bets here to grab some value between these two contenders.

Devin Booker has a prop number that is far too low for him, while Spencer Dinwiddie may not be out of his shooting slump despite a solid game last time out.

Here are the plays I’m considering for Monday’s game:

Suns vs. Mavericks Best NBA Prop Bets

  • Spencer Dinwiddie UNDER 15.5 Points
  • Devin Booker OVER 5.5 Assists
  • Deandre Ayton OVER 27.5 Points and Rebounds

Spencer Dinwiddie UNDER 15.5 Points

Spencer Dinwiddie is really struggling with his shot as of late, and now he has to take on an elite Phoenix defense that comes into this game fifth in the NBA in defensive rating.

Over his last nine games, Dinwiddie has cleared this total just two times, averaging 13.3 points and shooting 31.4 percent from 3 over that stretch.

He needed 16 shots to go over this number against the New York Knicks, and he’s only taking 11.2 shots per game over his last nine matchups. I’ll fade him tonight.

Devin Booker OVER 5.5 Assists

Sure, Devin Booker is an elite scorer, but he’s been an assist machine with Chris Paul out of the lineup recently.

Booker is averaging 6.0 assists per game on the season, and he’s cleared 5.5 dimes in eight of his last 13 games.

The Mavericks are a solid defensive team (eighth in defensive rating), and I wouldn't be shocked if they try to force the ball out of Booker’s hands, giving him some opportunities to find his teammates.

Deandre Ayton OVER 27.5 Points and Rebounds

Deandre Ayton gets a fantastic matchup against the Mavericks here, as the team plays small a good amount of the time and ranks 29th in the NBA in rebounding percentage.

Ayton has picked up double digit rebounds in eight of his last nine games, and I think that gives him a good base to clear his points and rebounds prop.

Unless Dallas turns to a lot of JaVale McGee minutes tonight, Dwight Powell and Maxi Kleber simply aren’t enough to handle Ayton in the paint.
