The Memphis Grizzlies and New Orleans Pelicans square off in a battle of the two top picks in the 2019 NBA Draft on Tuesday night.

Ja Morant and Zion Williamson go head-to-head for the first time in a few seasons since Zion didn’t suit up last year with a foot injury.

Memphis is an underdog on the road in Jaren Jackson Jr.’s return, but I am more interested in betting some props in this game. Here are three to consider for this primetime matchup:

Grizzlies vs. Pelicans Best NBA Prop Bets

  • First Quarter Total Points UNDER 56
  • Steven Adams OVER 9.5 Rebounds
  • Dillon Brooks OVER 17.5 Points

First Quarter Total Points UNDER 56

This may seem like a surprising pick with how much talent is on both of these offenses, but the Pelicans actually have the No. 2 defensive rating in the NBA in the first quarter this season.

Not only that, but the Pels actually start games playing at a bottom 10 pace in the NBA. The Grizzlies are 17th in first quarter pace.

Desmond Bane is out of the lineup with an injury, so that takes away an important scorer for Memphis in this game. I’ll lean UNDER in the first quarter on Tuesday.

Steven Adams OVER 9.5 Rebounds

Remember when Steven Adams and Jonas Valanciunas were traded for each other?

That seems like forever ago, but the Grizzlies have gotten solid production from Adams, who is averaging 11.4 rebounds per game this season, grabbing at least nine boards in all but one game.

If Valanciunas plays big minutes, I won’t be shocked if the Grizzlies just match those with Adams, so double-digit boards shouldn’t be a crazy ask on Tuesday night.

Dillon Brooks OVER 17.5 Points

It feels like every time a Grizzlies player is out, Dillon Brooks’ points prop jumps.

Bane is the player out tonight, and for the next few weeks, and I think we’re getting some value on Brooks, who we know is going to take more shots now that Bane is out.

In eight games without Bane in his career, Brooks is averaging 19.4 points per game, clearing this line in six of those matchups. Even with Jaren Jackson Jr. returning tonight, I think Brooks is the No. 2 to Ja Morant in this game.
