The Oklahoma City Thunder are one of the more surprising teams to start the 2022-23 season, going 6-1 against the spread and winning games even without No. 2 overall pick Chet Holmgren.

Denver hosts the Denver Nuggets on Thursday night, and with Nikola Jokic, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Jamal Murray and Josh Giddey all on the floor, it’s a perfect chance to back some players in the prop market.

If you’re looking for a pick on the latest betting odds, our guy Donnavan Smoot has you covered here. These are the latest odds for the game:

Nuggets vs. Thunder Odds, Spread and Total

Here are three props that I’m considering for Thursday’s matchup:

Nuggets vs. Thunder Best NBA Prop Bets

  • Josh Giddey OVER 26.5 Points, Rebounds and Assists
  • Nikola Jokic OVER 12.5 Rebounds
  • Shai Gilgeous-Alexander OVER 27.5 Points

Josh Giddey OVER 26.5 Points, Rebounds and Assists

Josh Giddey returned from an ankle injury in Oklahoma City’s last game to play 25 minutes, scoring seven points (3-for-12 shooting) while adding one rebound and 10 assists.

Now, Giddey gets a solid matchup against Denver, who ranks 25th in defensive rating, 12th in pace and 17th in rebounding percentage this season.

The second-year wing can fill up the stat sheet, averaging 12.5 points, 6.5 rebounds and 6.2 assists per game. He easily cleared this number in the first two games of the year when he was healthy before suffering the ankle injury.

I like Giddey to get back on track tonight.

Nikola Jokic OVER 12.5 Rebounds

Jokic is averaging 11.1 rebounds per game, but he crushed the Thunder on the glass in their first meeting this season, grabbing 16 boards.

OKC ranks 20th in the league in rebounding percentage, and it doesn’t have a dominant big man to handle Jokic down low. Jeremiah Robinson-Earl and Aleksej Pokuševski simply don’t have the size or frame to contain the back-to-back MVP.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander OVER 27.5 Points

SGA has cleared this line in five of his six appearances this season, averaging 31.5 points per game.

He’s quickly becoming one of the best scorers in the NBA, and now he gets a Denver team that ranks 25th in the league in defensive rating. Until books start putting this closer to 30, I’m taking the OVER on SGA every time.
