The Atlanta Hawks lost to the Utah Jazz last night and is looking for a recovery win tonight against the Philadelphia 76ers.

Philly beat the Phoenix Suns its last time out, however, the 76ers have to host one of the top teams in the Eastern conference without James Harden. Will they be able to do it?

Better yet, who can they trust to get the job done? Let’s look at the prop market to find out who will make an impact in this game.

Let’s jump right into them.

Best Prop Bets For Sixers-Hawks

  • Tyrese Maxey OVER 23.5 Points
  • Joel Embiid OVER 28.5 Points
  • 1Q UNDER 56.5 Points

Tyrese Maxey OVER 23.5 Points

Maxey missed this line in his last game, but let’s dive into why this is a perfect line today. First, he had cleared it in five of the six games prior. Secondly, Atlanta is simply average on defense (14th in defensive rating). Finally, with Harden out, Maxey is playing serious minutes. He’s averaging 40.8 minutes over the last three games. If he’s on the floor for nearly the entire game, I trust him to be a scorer.

Joel Embiid OVER 28.5 Points

This will be the third game that James Harden misses because of his foot injury, and that means that Embiid will have to carry the load offensively. We’re going to get a flashback to what he looked like early last season when he was the frontrunner for MVP. If Embiid doesn’t score 30 tonight, I would be shocked. If he can get to the line to make it easier on himself, I like the play even more.

1Q UNDER 56.5 Points

Neither of these teams are juggernauts to start the game. They are both in the bottom half of the league in first quarter points, but that’s been even more true in this past week. Both teams are in the bottom 8 in 1Q points over the last three games. With the 76ers’ defensive rating being in the top 10 over the last 5 games, I expect a slow start to the game. It may pick up as the game goes on, but I don’t want to trust hot shooting in the first 12 minutes.
