Best NBA Prop Bets Today
- Darius Garland OVER 31.5 Points, Rebounds and Assists (-115)
- Orlando Magic 1Q -1.5 (-110) vs. Houston Rockets
- Shai Gilgeous-Alexander OVER 28.5 Points (-105)
Darius Garland OVER 31.5 Points, Rebounds and Assists (-115)
We have a very small sample size with Darius Garland this season, but the early results are promising.
In both games where he made it through the full game, Garland has gone for 46 and 35 PRA while taking 19 shots per game. He’s going to push 20-plus points, and Garland is an elite playmaker, averaging 9.5 assists in his last two games.
31.5 is simply too low of a number, even against a tough Los Angeles Clippers defense. – Peter Dewey
Orlando Magic 1Q -1.5 (-110) vs. Houston Rockets
The Magic have been magical so far at home this season going 4-0 ATS; tied for the best ATS home record with the Cleveland Cavaliers and the second best ATS +/- in basketball.
Rather than play them for the full game at a higher number, I like them even more to bully the Rockets in the early going in their home arena.
Orlando's gotten off to terrific offensive starts of late, tied for fifth in the NBA in first quarter points per game with (31.7), while also ranked top 10 at home in net rating and top nine in effective field goal percentage.
Houston ranks dead last on the road in first quarter net rating (-29.6), second-to-last in offensive rating, and fourth-worst in the league in defensive rating. They're garbage to start off games, especially away from home.
Take Orlando to build up at least a two-point lead, and then let both rebuilding teams figure out what may happen from there. -- Ben Heisler
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander OVER 28.5 Points (-105)
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had a poor night against the Bucks in his last outing, but that's understandable given Milwaukee has the NBA's best defensive rating. Tonight, he'll face a poor Pistons defense that ranks 29th in defensive rating, so I love GIlgeous-Alexander's chances of bouncing back.
Before the Milwaukee game, Shai has at least 34 points in three straight games. He's averaging 30.5 points per game while shooting 53.5% from the field on 23.8 shots per game, and his 96.5% mark from the charity stripe bodes well too.
Both the Thunder and Pistons rank in the top-12 in the NBA in pace, so I'm not worried about a slow game decreasing his point total. Back Gilgeous-Alexander to continue his torrid start to the campaign with another 30+ point performance. – Joe Summers
