It’s always fun to sprinkle a few NFL prop bets into your Sunday betslip, and the BetSided team always has you covered with props for every game in each week of the NFL season

If you’re trying to narrow down props for a game or player, or simply just what are the best plays, you’ve come to the right spot.

Here, we share some of our favorite picks for the Week 5 action, including prop plays on Bailey Zappe, Justin Jefferson and more. Let’s dive in:

NFL Week 5 Best Prop Bets

  • Bailey Zappe UNDER 29.5 Passing Attempts
  • Justin Jefferson OVER 83.5 Receiving Yards
  • Antonio Gibson Under 48.5 Rush Yards

Bailey Zappe UNDER 29.5 Passing Attempts

Yes, the Detroit Lions have one of the worst defenses in the NFL, but do we really think Bill Belichick is going to let a rookie backup quarterback sling it all over the yard in Week 5?

He’s not, and the Lions’ putrid run defense is all the more reason to take the UNDER on Bailey Zappe’s pass attempts.

Detroit allows 5.6 yards per carry this season, the worst mark in the NFL, so I’d expect the Patriots to ride their running game in this matchup. Zappe played essentially the entire game, and overtime, in Week 4 against the Green Bay Packers, yet he attempted just 15 passes.

I don’t mind the UNDER on a lot of Zappe’s passing props, but one big completion could take him OVER on his yards, so instead of just going to fade his attempts. If the Patriots get up big in this game they won’t give Zappe a chance to make a mistake, and I think that’s the game plan regardless of the score early. – Peter Dewey

Justin Jefferson OVER 83.5 Receiving Yards

After two subpar weeks of play, Justin Jefferson jump-started his season again in London. He’s going to see double-digit targets in nearly every game this season as he is one of the favorites to win Offensive Player of the Year.

Jefferson looks like his normal self again, so I’ll back him to put on a show against a lowly opponent who can't hold up in the secondary. – Donnavan Smoot

Antonio Gibson Under 48.5 Rush Yards

Brian Robinson was added to the active roster this week and even if he isn’t the bellcow, he will cut into Antonio Gibson’s carries. Washington has been dying for a reason to take Gibson off the field and they finally have it with Robinson healthy after his offseason tragedy.
