Robert Saleh finally made the switch this week. Zach Wilson is out and Mike White is in at quarterback for the New York Jets. They’re benching the second overall pick from 2021 after he completed nine passes for 77 yards in a three point performance against New England. Will this be the offensive spark the Jets need against the Chicago Bears defense? We will find out on Sunday, but for now we’ll place our prop bets to cash in.

Best NFL Prop Bets for Bears vs. Jets

  • David Montgomery Anytime TD (+155)
  • Mike White Under 224.5 Pass Yards (-115)
  • Chicago Bears Team Total Under 16.5 (-122)

David Montgomery Anytime TD (+155)

David Montgomery is a good running back, but he’s ended up in a super unique position next to Justin Fields in the Chicago backfield. He is only getting about 16 carries a game and only has three touchdowns this year. However, that could be changing with an injury to Justin Fields that will either limit him or keep him on the sidelines. Regardless, they will have to rely on Montgomery much more, and if they score at all, it will almost certainly be because of him.

Mike White Under 224.5 Pass Yards (-115)

Chicago’s defense isn’t good, but they’re okay against the passing game. I don’t think Mike White will be asked to do a ton in his first start of the season and if the Jets are able to move the ball on the ground, they’ll happily keep handing it off. I don’t see a world where Chicago scores much with either a banged up Fields or Trevor Semien at quarterback, so White won’t have to air it out.

Chicago Bears Team Total Under 16.5 (-122)

The Jets defensive line is incredible. Quinnen Williams is one of the best interior pass rushers in the NFL and they come in waves off the edges. Chicago’s offensive line is built to run block, but they really struggle to pass protect. That’s why they have done well with Fields taking off 12 to 15 times a game, but they will not get that in this game and I don’t expect them to hold up well enough for 30 drop backs.
