Best NFL Prop Bets for Broncos vs. Jaguars in NFL Week 8 (Travis Etienne Continues Breakout)
By Reed Wallach
The Broncos and Jaguars head across the pond to play in London on Sunday.
Both teams have struggled on offense this season and have fallen below expectations, but can they get going against one another in Week 8 action? Russell Wilson have come under scrutiny this season due to their floundering play, but will he respond well after missing last week from a hamstring injury?
Here are our best prop bets for this Week 9 matchup:
Best Prop Bets For Broncos-Jaguars
- Trevor Lawrence UNDER 213.5 Passing Yards (-113)
- Travis Etienne OVER 19.5 Receiving Yards (-113)
- Greg Dulcich OVER 32.5 Receiving Yards (-113)
Trevor Lawrence UNDER 215.5 Passing Yards (-113)
Lawrence has been hit or miss this season, passing for less than 200 yards in two games. He'll now face a Broncos defense that is arguably the best in the NFL,
The Broncos are tied for the league best in EPA/Play and tops in EPA/Dropback, a big issue for Lawrence who has shown suspect decision making this season, throwing four interceptions this season. I can see head coach Doug Pederson keeping the ball on the ground in this one against a stout defense and limit Lawrence's mistakes, leading me to the under on his passing yards mark.
Travis Etienne OVER 19.5 Receiving Yards (-113)
While I'm not crazy about Lawrence's passing yard prop, I love Clemson teammates' receiving yards prop. Etienne has gone over this in four of his last six games and should factor into the passing game as the Broncos fearsome pass rush gets home on Lawrence, leading to dump offs to Etienne.
Etienne is off of a five yard performance in the passing game on one catch, but I think that's depressing the number, so I'll play the bounce back angle here and take the second year pro to go over his receiving yards prop.
Greg Dulcich OVER 30.5 Receiving Yards (-113)
The Broncos rookie out of UCLA has only played two games this season but has made an impact quickly, posting receiving yard totals of 44 and 51. It's clear that he is going to factor in the Broncos underwhelming passing game that should feature a ton of intermediate routes for Wilson while he works back into shape from his hamstring injury.
While the likes of Cortland Sutton and Jerry Jeudy could be used as deep threats, count on Dulcich to factor into the passing game.
