Best NFL Prop Bets for Giants vs. Seahawks in NFL Week 8 (This Tanner Hudson Prop Has Value)
By Reed Wallach
Two of the most surprising teams this season do battle in the Pacific Northwest on Sunday afternoon.
Daniel Jones and Geno Smith have been superb in leading their teams to over .500 marks through the first half of the season. How should we attack these two playoff hopefuls in the prop market? We got you covered with two bets on Giants skill position players and an undervalued Seahawks receiver.
Best Prop Bets for Giants-Seahawks
- Saquon Barkley OVER 84.5 Rushing Yards
- Tanner Hudson Anytime Touchdown Scorer
- Dee Eskridge OVER 16.5 Receiving Yards
Saquon Barkley OVER 84.5 Rushing Yards
Barkley is the odds on favorite to win Comeback Player of the Year and has been fantastic for the 6-1 Giants, averaging more than five yards per carry on more than 20 carries per game.
This matchup should suit Barkley well as the Seahawks are bottom half of the league in EPA/Rush and 25th in EPA/Play. I expect the Giants offense to establish the run on the road with Barkley and with the Seahawks vulnerable D, he should clear this mark.
Tanner Hudson Anytime Touchdown Scorer
The Giants lost Daniel Bellinger to an eye injury for several weeks, leading to Hudson becoming the primary tight end. The Giants run a lot of jumbo sets around the goal line and Hudson should be in on every goal line snap.
While Hudson only has three targets on the year, just look at Bellinger's usage for a reason to take this long shot. He has 16 catches with two touchdowns to his name this season.
Dee Eskridge OVER 16.5 Receiving Yards
D.K. Metcalf is out for this game with a knee injury, opening up targets for other Seattle pass catchers, so I'll target Eskridge, who saw his his highest snap count of the year last week, 42%.
With Metcalf out for the entire game, not just half of it, I expect Eskridge to see plenty of time on the field and clear this low total.
