Best NFL Prop Bets for Texans vs. Raiders in Week 7 (Josh Jacobs To Run Wild Against Texans)
Both the Texans and Raiders are coming off bye weeks, so we’ll get some refreshed football in Vegas this week. The Raiders are 1-4, which is not how they saw the season starting, while the Texans are 1-3-1.
This is a crucial game for both teams if they want to have any type of success this season. Let’s take a deep dive into this game and look at which playmakers are the best to back this week.
Best Prop Bets For Texans-Raiders
- Davis Mills OVER 230.5 Passing Yards (-115)
- Brandin Cooks OVER 62.5 Receiving Yards (-116)
- Josh Jacobs OVER 80.5 Rushing Yards (-115)
Davis Mills OVER 230.5 Passing Yards
The Raiders have one of the better run defenses in the league, but they cannot defend the pass to save their lives. Las Vegas is 26th in opponent yards per pass, 23rd in passing yards per game and 26th in sack percentage. Mills is going to have all day to sit back and throw the ball. If Las Vegas can make Houston one dimensional, they might have a chance – but the Raiders haven’t been able to do that through six weeks.
Brandin Cooks OVER 62.5 Receiving Yards
If we’re backing Mills to have a big day, let’s back Cooks as well. Cooks had a bad week the last time out, but he still saw a good amount of targets and remains the top receiver on the team. If Mills can be somewhat accurate, he can get Cooks to clear this line for the first time since Week 1.
Josh Jacobs OVER 80.5 Rushing Yards
Just as the Raiders’ pass defense is weak, so is the Texans’ rushing defense. Houston is 29th in yards per carry and 30th in rushing yards per game. Jacobs has cleared this line in his last two games, and gets a defense that will make it easier than ever. As long as the Raiders continue to feed Jacobs regularly, I like this line.
