The Washington Commanders have won three straight games and the NFC East looks even more competitive now. Taylor Heinicke has started the last two of those games and this week will go against the former Washington quarterback, Kirk Cousins. Kirk Cousins doesn’t strike me as a vengeful guy, but maybe he will show up big in this revenge game. Let’s get into the best prop bets for Minnesota and Washington this week.

Prop Bets for Vikings vs. Commanders

  • Justin Jefferson Over 90.5 Receiving Yards (-105)
  • Adam Thielen Over 4.5 Receptions (+115)
  • TJ Hockenson Anytime TD (+260)
  • Terry McLaurin Over 67.5 Receiving Yards (-113)

Justin Jefferson Over 90.5 Receiving Yards (-105)

Yes, I think the Vikings are frauds, but I also know that the Commanders have some of the worst cornerbacks in the NFL. Kyler Fuller and Benjamin St-Juste are their top corners and both have PFF grades under 60. Washington hasn’t been exposed much in the secondary because they have faced a string of either bad quarterbacks or a receiving corps devoid of talent like Green Bay. The last time Washington faced a starting quarterback with a dynamic receiving corps was Week 3 against Philadelphia. AJ Brown had five grabs for 85 yards and a touchdown and Devonta Smith had eight catches for 169 yards and a TD.

Adam Thielen Over 4.5 Receptions (+115)

Again, this is me fading one of the worst secondary's in the league.

Thielen is the second receiver for Cousins and No. 2 receivers have also had success against Washington. Remember when I said Devonta Smith had eight catches for 169 and a touchdown. Thielen won’t do that, but I think five catches is his floor.

TJ Hockenson Anytime TD (+260)

Hockenson showed a lot of flashes during his time as a Lion, but nobody can ever really succeed in Detroit. He will have a chance to be competitive and win games for once.

Hockenson is going to get involved and I think he is worth a flyer on an anytime TD this week. When a player gets acquired midweek, usually the first thing they learn is the red zone offense. Kevin O’Connell will have something drawn up for his newest weapon.

Terry McLaurin Over 67.5 Receiving Yards (-113)

I’ve spent this entire time ragging on the Commanders secondary when Minnesota allows the second most yards per attempt to opposing quarterbacks in the league, 7.7. McLaurin has received eight targets from Heinicke in each of the last two games and had 73 and 113 yards. I'll back him to have another ho-hum game in one that could become a bit of a shootout.
