The New England Patriots are clinging on to the final spot in the AFC Playoffs heading into Sunday's action and will likely need a win over the Las Vegas Raiders to hold on to it.

Meanwhile, the Raiders' playoff hopes would be all but extinguished with a loss today, so a bounce back after a Week 14 loss to the Rams will be imparitive.

The Patriots are small underdogs in this AFC showdown.

In this article, I'm going to focus on player props. Let's dive into my favorites.

Best NFL Prop Bets for Patriots vs Raiders

  • Derek Carr UNDER 239.5 Passing Yards (-115)
  • Derek Carr to throw 1+ interception (-130)
  • OVER 3.5 field goals made (+125)

Derek Carr UNDER 239.5 Passing Yards

Derek Carr is averaging exactly 239.8 passing yards per game this season, which is right where his passing yards total is set at for the game today. The difference is, today he and the Raiders have to take one one of the best passing defenses in the NFL.

The Patriots are allowing only 6.0 yards per pass attempt, which is the sixth lowest mark in the NFL. They're also allowing only 201.3 total passing yards per game, the eighth fewest in the NFL.

Back Carr to go UNDER his set total this afternoon.

Derek Carr to throw 1+ interception

Derek Carr has had an issue with interceptions this season, having already thrown 10 on the year, including two in his Week 14 game against the Rams.

On the other side of the field, the Patriots have forced an average of 1.0 interceptions per game. I'd recommend fading Carr in several different ways in this game, and betting on him to throw an interception is one of those options.

OVER 3.5 field goals made

What we need for there to be over three field goals in this game, would be for good red zone defenses and bad red zone defenses. That's exactly what we have, at least when it comes to the Patriots.

New England is dead last in the NFL in red zone offense, scoring a touchdown on only 38.89% of their red zone trips. Meanwhile, their defense ranks in 12th in the league in red zone defense, allowing opponents to score on only 53.85% of red zone trips.

Finally, the two teams average the most field goals made per game. The Raiders average the most at 2.2, and the Patriots are right behind them, averaging 2.1 field goals per game.
