Best NFL Props for 49ers vs. Rams in NFL Week 8 (Shanahan is Ready to Unleash CMC)
By Josh Yourish
Kyle Shanahan vs. Sean McVay is one of the most fun rivalries in the sport right now. The only problem is that their teams aren’t so good. The San Francisco 49ers are 3-4 aftering a 44-23 loss to Kansas City where they looked completely overmatched. The Los Angeles Rams are 3-3 and coming out of a much needed bye week.
Here are my three favorite props for this crucial NFC West matchup.
Best Props for 49ers vs. Rams
- First Drive Result Offensive Touchdown
- Christian McCaffrey Over 35.5 Receiving Yards
- Allen Robinson Over 34.5 Receiving Yards
First Drive Result Offensive Touchdown +390
Kyle Shanahan and Sean McVay are two of the best play-callers in the NFL. We know that they both get up for this rivalry and will have their absolute best 15-play script to start this game. It’s an arms race in the NFC West, we know that both of these teams were gunning for Christian McCaffrey and Shanahan will want to show him off.
Christian McCaffrey Over 35.5 Receiving Yards
Like I said, this is Kyle Shanahan’s new toy and he’s going to want to show him off. It’s like Sean McVay and Shanahan were both trying to date the cheer captain in high school and now, Shanahan is going to make sure to walk past McVay’s locker holding hands with her. I think McCaffrey will be used in the pass game as much as on the ground and be another hybrid piece like Deebo Samuel.
Allen Robinson Over 34.5 Receiving Yards
Van Jefferson is coming back to the Rams this week, and I actually think that will unlock Allen Robinson. Robinson has struggled to get separation and has had to do everything isolated on the outside opposite of McVay’s patented trips formation. That’s a difficult spot if there is no deep threat putting pressure on the defense. Jefferson will be that and will give Robinson more open opportunities.
