We have a small but exciting slate set for tonight's NHL action. Well, at least that's the case for two of the games.

The first game is scheduled to take place at 7pm et between the Montreal Canadiens and the New York Islanders. After a massive upset of the Pittsburgh Penguins by the Chicago Blackhawks last night, the Islanders all of a sudden find themselves in a "win and you're in" situation.

All they have to do is beat the lowly Canadiens. Shouldn't be a problem, right?

Oddsmakers seems to have faith in them, making them massive favorites in tonight's pivotal showdown.

The next game scheduled for tonight is a 7:30 p.m. EST puck drop between the Dallas Stars and St. Louis Blues. The Stars are still alive in the race for the top spot in the Central Division, but both of their final two games are likely must-win situations for them. They currently sit one point back from the Avalanche.

They're road favorites to take down the eliminated St. Louis Blues.

The final game of the night is a meaningless showdown between the San Jose Sharks and Calgary Flames. The Flames have had one of the most disappointing seasons amongst all NHL teams and are now eliminate from postseason contention.

If they manage to lose in overtime or shootout, Calgary would tie the NHL record for most overtime/shootout losses in a single season with 18.
